@Venezia I simply stated she should be more "mindful" as she did order them in June living in Phoenix. IMO you have to take some responsibility when you are the one who lives there and is well aware of the summer temperatures. If it ships from the vendor which many do, I guess maybe they should include dry ice but the customer also has to be willing to pay for that. I'm sure Phoenix has some lovely little chocolate shops that you can buy from locally and avoid the whole problem.

In June, I ordered the Lindt Lindor truffles with the intent of adding them to food baskets I put together every December. The shipping address is in Phoenix, AZ which is one of the most heat sensitive areas in the country and recently this trend continued. Whereas many locations in the country are getting snow, we exceeded 80+ degrees this past week. . . the same week that the Lindt Lindor truffles were being delivered. UPS dropped the box in the early evening, meaning it sat within a hot metal truck all day. The chocoloates were a blobby goopy mess. There was no markings on the box of it being perishable. Why? If QVC is selling a product to all locations of the country, they need to be sensitive to the logistics of the location. Cynthia in Customer Service was very nice and credited the order vs. my having to return the unusable mess which is now a waste. Over the summer months, QVC sold salt water taffy -- same situation but it was 115 degrees and again, nothing marked "perishable". This is a waste of product, a waste of time, not to mention the impacts to the environment with shipping and such. Strongly suggest that QVC work with its vendors in not only shoving a product in front of consumers but also ensuring it is shipped and delivered properly -- otherwise, don't sell it.

I'm sorry but perhaps you should be more mindful of purchasing perishable food when you live in a very hot climate. I don't even order food online in the summer months and I live in New England.

QVC isn't actually shipping those food items; that's the vendor, and they decide whether to use dry ice and things of that nature.

Either don't sell them at all in the Summer, OR don't ship to warmer states during the Summer.

Maybe offer them in the three or so Spring months and again in October, Nov., Dec. ..... next January, February.

Well, that's what I would think about if I were in charge.
