Too Tight Clothing

I don't understand why they keep dressing the Models and Hosts in clothing that is so small? Showing all their lumps and bumps. That looks terrible to me.

For sure someone OKed them before they walked out.

It is just that current fabrics are more elastic and current trends are more form fitting. Bingo, we see more accurate body shape.

If we went back to traditional woven, thicker fabrics (with tailoring) we be forced into a looser fit.

I sometimes see a model and they say so and so is wearing an extra large. Then I think wow, I guess I have to size up a size or 2 because it appears tight.

When the product is received, I have judged it wrong. Maybe because the model should have been in a bigger size, who knows?

All they have to do is put the correct size on the model or host & the problem is solved ...there is no reason to squeeze a model into a smaller size!!

What some see as tight is a good fit and what is seen as too big fit is seen as a good fit by others. The spandex and stretch is meant to be form fitting and not loose and hanging!!

Perhaps only certain sizes are made available, and the smaller models are not available for those particular segments.🤔 The show must go on.😊

Some people prefer to wear their clothing form fitting and close to the body. Others wear baggy clothing.

Still, there are those who like to wear their clothing not to tight and not baggy.

Everyone is different and we all have different body shapes and styles. Sometimes because of your shape, you have to choose between fitting at the hips and having the waist line gapping or having the garment fit at the waist and being tight in the hip area....for one example.

I don't get worked about about it. QVC has no models who are shaped like me and never have. In fact, I have never seen a model anywhere with my body type.

I always try to see if the garmet measurements are listed on line and go by that.

I think lots of people wear clothing that doesn't flatter them...either the wrong style, wrong color, or wrong size.

And, I think all of us have made wrong choices on occasion. As long as we are not exposed and in danger of getting arrested, it's no big deal.

When hosts lie about their own size, I totally discount what they say in any of their sales pitches

I've read reviews on several retail websites about clothing women purchased. I don't understand how someone weighing 160 lbs. wears a size 8, or someone weighing 180 wears a size 10, etc. no matter what body shape they are, so I'm not sure if what is posted is accurate sometimes. There's no shame in wearing any size; we're beautiful no matter what size we are.

Spandex and stretch is meant to make movement more comfortable.

I thought QVC had stylists that select clothing for the hosts and models. Where are they? Did they all get laid off?

When a host or model is wearing a blazer so snug it can't even be buttoned, they are in the wrong size. How does any viewer get a good idea how something looks if it doesn't flatter the wearer?

Desert Lily, I totally agree! Those reviews have me scratching my head!!! I recall a reviewer stating she was 5'4 160 and the small fit her perfectly. This was a close fitting dress!

On the flip side, Q (like every other on air shopping) might not have all sizes or enough of one size available. It's still no one's business.

The complaints on the forums get more ridiculous by the day.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that QVC always wants a model to be the same size across brands. In one brand, she may be a medium, but in another brand she's a large. I know my size varies across brands. Why would it be different for the models? They want you to always think of Jackie as a size large and nothing else.

When have we ever heard a host telling us a model is 2x? Never, they only show 1x models, but maybe she should be wearing a 2x. Then tomorrow, a 1x in a different brand.

Don't get me started on the hosts wearing clothing that is too tight. Kirsten, Alberti, Jenn. And not even a little small, but like three sizes too small. Who wants to look at that? Oh, Kirsten's followers, that's who. That's who she peddles to.

I'm very close to being the same size as Shawn. Same height and weight. I'm NEVER a size small. Always wear a medium and some cases large!!

When I first heard some of the Hosts say they were wearing a "Small," I thought they were joking, because they definitely appeared to be either a size "Medium" or even a "Large"

After a while, I just ignored what they said, and thought: "Ok, sure!"

We all know QVC unitizes vanity sizing. So, when their host says they are extra small it is not the case in the real retail world.

I have a theory they try to fit into the smallest size, because when they have to sell a line that uses regular department store sizing, they have to size up one. Most of them will never say they wear a medium. So, they squeeze into the smallest size, so then they can size up to a small.

They put way too much emphasis on size. You are more than a number on the scale or tag on the back of your shirt.

This is about a online and on-air retailer that sells thousands of garments every month. If they can't even put the models and hosts in a size that works for them, and viewers continually pass on a purchase, that affects the bottom line and should be management's business.

@Desert Lily oh good, then it's not just me! I read those reviews and ask myself - what?!?

It certainly isn't helpful to anyone else trying to order something if the reviews are not accurate.

I got a survey from JJill the other day. They asked me what would help their online sales. I said - add in the garment measurements, not just the size charts. People ASK all the time for the bust and hip measurements. Just provide them rather than have people have to ask a question. I don't buy unless I have a rough idea of the measurements.
