Why doesn't QVC Ship Items together

I really wish QVC and HSN would ship items ordered together in 1 box, I realize some items are coming from different states but combining items if it's coming from the same place would cut down on boxes.

Then they wouldn't be able to charge shipping charges for each item.

That is the only thing I can think of because it only makes sense to ship things in one box at least for every other business!

Of course they would and do!

I have had multiple different orders all shipped together in the same box AND was charged shipping on each item even though in the same box.

I have ordered quantity 2 of the exact same item w/ HSN and for some reason, they made separate orders for each and shipped them separately!! Now that makes no sense.

You know, that is right!

They charge per item whether they use one box or many.

So it really doesn't make sense that they use one box for each thing everytime.

Has anyone ever gotten multiple items in one box from QVC? I haven't.

I have from Q, many times.

Always kinda surprised me when they combo unrelated orders/items yet got them all in the same box!

I usually place orders separately, so I can keep track better (its own order # for each) yet they have mixed them and sent them in the same box.

Guess my items were all in the same section of the warehouse.

Their shipping items is all over the map. I've had things come in the same box and other items that I assumed would come together were shipped separately. Go figure.

@Donna2019 If they are not at the same warehouse they will not ship the items together. To me, its pretty obvious, the items are not at the same location and would be too costly to locate items and have them shipped together.

I have ordered the same exact items but different colors. They shipped from different locations. Kind of strange but there must be a method to the madness. Businesses always try to be as profitable as possible and evidently shipping separately is their method.

I personally find Amazon the worst culprit. Even if you elect to have the items delivered on the same day they usually use separate boxes for each item.

Amazon also ships separately, but now you can opt for less boxes.

Maybe the items are shipping from separate locations--ie warehouses in different locations.

Terrible for environment.

HSN often ships items in the same box, although no break on the shipping costs to me of course. I assume it depends on the where the items are coming from.

@Donna2019. They do combine items when feasible. I've gotten as many as four garments in one box. Of course when they do this, people will complain that they're still charged shipping for each item. In other words, they're damned if the do, damned if they dont.

I almost always get a bunch of items in a single box when I shop during free shipping events. I've had kitchen gadgets, storage bins, clothing, home decor, and more all arrive in the same box. Since nothing was really breakable and there was some padding, it worked great for me, and there surprisingly didn't seem to be a delay in gathering all those items for the single shipment. But like others here, I've also had times when I've ordered the same top in multiple colors and received three different packages from three sites around the country. I'm sure QVC's logistics are really fun to manage...

I ordered 10 home clearance items from HSN and they all came in one big box all boxed separately. Love it although it's lots of boxes to break down.

Personally I'm all for them shipping items together to save on boxes. I remember a few years ago getting some BL battery operated lights. I ordered multiples and they shipped each one in a separate box. I was floored.

Last week I had ordered the stud earring sets (two different colors) that Heidi Daus had on HSN. They shipped these 2 small boxes in a VERY large box. When it arrived, I thought what the heck did I order? LOL BTW I like the look of the earrings. They are a sizeable stud - more like a button earring but not button shaped. I have to try them on to be sure they will be right on my ear. If I do have to return them, I will find a smaller box!

But you all have to remember, it's not just shipping you are paying for, it's the "handling" of that shipment (someone has to get it off the shelf and then someone else has to put it in the box, and then sometimes there is a third person who is supposed to check what is in the box then tape it up or close up the plastic bag.

QVC does combine items, I have received several all in one

box or bag and they still charge S & H for each item.....

If you would have read correctly what I said, I said I realize items are coming from different states so YES I know they would not be shipped together, HOWEVER items coming from the same location should be.

I just received two orders shipped in the same box (not for the first time). When I saw the huge package on my porch I thought "what in the world did I order?".
