Please Put S&H Pricing Info On Product Page!

I know this has been discussed here recently...Just want to reiterate...Please QVC put S&H info back on the product page!!!

I don't want to have to pretend to purchase, then pretend to checkout, and ONLY then see S&H. Huh?! Why?

I'm not paying $5.50 for a tiny little eye liner, for instance. I'd like to know if an item is on Free Shipping (even tho' I know it's built into the price....still works psychologically on me, so ya got me there, but...I still want to know!) No extra clicks. (first world probs, I get it, still bad customer svc.)

Why the change? Makes no logical sense. (yes I know, technically, maybe to just obscure this info, not a good look on you btw)...deal breaker usually for me. I just don't bother, unless I really, really think I'll buy the item.

Yes, I'm that "petty"...I want to know how much shipping is, that and possible return shipping costs add up over time. As the consumer, I want full disclosure on how you, the retailer, might separate me from my money. Otherwise...I'm keeping my money. I win.

I agree. Guess I'm petty too. Lol Would like to know if sales go up if people are not reminded of the S&H cost.

Agree!! I find this so annoying! HSN does not do this!! "Hiding" the shipping fee is wrong and deceptive-

Please put it back on the item page!!!!!

However, QVC is not the only online site that does this. I order from many places where the tax and shipping 'will be calculated' on the final page.

Then I delete the order many times!!!

I don't like it on the other sites either...but....I shop on most of those infrequently, QVC used to NOT do it, and if it "ain't broke"...

I say...Q...YOU be BETTER!

ps. They're hoping you'll just "Speed Buy"...done...and never check. I guess it'll always be a battle of Q's "how do we make our numbers better" and Customer's "serve me better."

You said it well and I agree with everything you said! Biggest question as you mentioned is....WHY? Why does QVC think after the shipping and handling costs have been visible on the product page for eons that all of a sudden they mysteriously need to disappear?

I mean, do the math. Anytime you're just browsing and want to see how much shipping you're going to pay on the item, you have to add it to your cart. Then you have to delete it from your cart. Or, if it moves to your saved list, then the items can pile up in there and you have to go and delete, delete, delete. 🙄

As I said in another thread, it just feels like yet another in a long list of moves on the part of QVC to annoy their customers!!!

I completely agree!

Another shipping issue that really bothers me is the fact that "VIONIC SHIPS FOR FREE" The hosts should no longer be able to make this claim since it's not true! Now, if Vionics are on sale or clearance (but still expensive) they tack on a shipping charge!

I made the mistake ordering some Rykas on sale and wasn"t paying attention. The shipping fee I noticed this morng was $9.47. While I realize prices are esscalating I will be more cautious in the future. Clarks website offers free ship and easy returns and usuallly is credited back within 5 days for anything that does not work. I bought some deep discounted items with free ship on Lands End for Christmas gifts next year..

My brother in law is in corporate retail and says things are going to get much worse.

Rising costs will just continue to trickle down to the consumer from the lady I saw at Aldi yesterday complaing about her cream cheese being over $4.00 and holding up the line to make the cashier take it all off her purchase to the grandmother my sister told me about this morning complaing Chick Filet now cost $100.00 to take all her grand children. Inflation is currently here on many levels.

@Mombo1 Me either. It also encourages people to buy more since they're only thinking about the payment, not the total price.

Oh no no...don't get me wrong...I don't like it at All !! Not here, not there, not anywhere! LOL

I don't want to get to the end of an order to see $14.95 in shipping charges cuz the order will not get placed and I just wasted my time!!!

Q seems to be a follower though....not a setter of policies.

They certainly were Not the first to not give receipts or printed return labels...that's for sure. Amazon holds the lead on most of those policies.

It boggles my mind the changes Q makes....like what they did to our Wish list!

I don't put something in my cart if I don't know the shipping costs up front.

I know Q charges shipping on everything. The vast majority of what Q sells can be found elsewhere without shipping and/or return costs.... and at a lower price.

@amyb ... I noticed that too recently as well as the item number isn't shown either! It's on the description page but no longer on the TV presentation. When they say... This is item number A..zoom...., so fast! I'm like What??? Then l have to go online to get the item number..... But the shipping is a surprise until you place an order!! If l really want the item I'll order it but a lot of times l just say... forget it !!!

I've sent an email to the social team as well; hopefully someone will take steps to fix this error. As I posted in another thread, I really think this is just the usual very poor website programming/development we've had to grow accustomed to around here rather than a conspiracy. Some potential evidence of this:

Point 1: The prices are listed when you shop via the app.

Point 2: I think they must be in some update phase because, as was the case about a week ago, this is what the top "banner menu" looks like today in my browser on most but not all pages I browse:

Yep, there are separate menus for "Shop" and "Watch" on the left side with different options than the ones in the "Watch & Shop" menu on the right side. "Sign in" is showing even though I'm already signed in. And the lovely "Receive Before 12/25" link has returned.

But if I go to my Wish List, the "banner menu" that has been most used in the past couple of months is displayed, stating "Hi, Lori" at the top right, omitting the "12/25" link, and showing "New Arrivals" instead of just "New."

Ah, qvc.com. Always an adventure...just not the kind you usually want...

ETA: After some further clicking, it appears that the "Receive Before 12/25" link may only be showing up in the forums, which maaaay make a little sense since it is handled separately from the main shopping pages. But the menu duplication and lack of consistency still tells me there's probably something new coming.

Well, if it is a website "glitch", then hopefully they are fixing it. It is crazy to make customers add an item to the cart to see if there is a shipping charge. SInce Q does not have a purchasing threshold before free shipping kicks in, they should be transparent and put the high shipping charges they pile on right on the page. Another reason to drop the C from their name. Nothing convenient about this!

Other retailers offer free shipping if you spend a certain $ amount. If the Q wants to compete - and that may be a big if - then they need to be more competitive. I for one will not pay shipping charges. Don't need to when there are other retailers out there that don't.
