How About Moderators on The Forums At Night?

Lately there have been "trolls" spending hours on the community forums digging up old threads and contributing nonsense (i.e. "testing", "Z" etc) FOR HOURS burying recent threads pages and pages down. No amount of reporting seems to make a difference. It might help if in the reporting we were asked to explain why we are reporting. AND it would help to actually SEE that something was done!

Simply installing better software that spots patterns and puts pending posts into a bucket awaiting moderation would solve the problem.

This sicko sounds like someone I know on the HSN boards that does the same thing. SICK, SICK, SICK.

LOL, I think they posted almost 400 posts. I'm pretty sure they copy and paste one phrase for awhile then changed to another. Maybe 3-4.

They need to be ignored.

They want attention and that is what they get because posters start 5 and 6 threads bringing the nonsense to everyone's attention. They just feed off this.

Two nights/mornings ago, a poster by the name of Noseworthy CornDish signed up and proceeded to dig up old posts and for a period of almost 3 hours replied to 400 plus of these threads with "testing %" or "testing % worraps" or "Z". Now, if that is not nonsense .....

This is a very old saying and means to never tell people what bugs you because they might just keep bugging you that way or they might actually enjoy bugging you that way. When I grew up, people used the term "get your goat" too.

Bottom line, that troll wanted a reaction and got it and most likely enjoyed it. So don't react to the trolls. The more you react, the more they'll do it.

I would think there should be some sort of program that QVC could use to see when this happens so that they could cut the poster off before they do so much damage. Baker, you must not have been on the last time it happened because you certainly would have noticed.

How do you ignore someone who doesn't care whether you ignore them or not?

It's not difficult to ignore. 1. Look at the original date on the post before clicking on it. 2. Push the ignore or report button. 3. Stop posting about her/him. I opened only 1 of that troll's redux posts and haven't seen any since. I know Q deleted a lot but that was long after I know many were out there.
