While I am not a young woman (60's) I feel the fashion lately has become very old. Not every woman of an older age wants to wear flowers, plaids, and even some solids. How about some youthful patterns and fabrics. Some of the fabrics are very heavy and stiff. alos, I understand prices have gone up but paying 75.oo for a t shirt really?

While we are getting older we do not want our cloths to reflect . Perhaps my decades of shipping at the Q are over. You see to be catering to a different audience noe.

I agree that so much of their clothing is very frumpy. How about if they sold some quality classic pieces. Perhaps a long sleeve button front collared shirt. Those will never go out of style. They can be dressed up or down. I've been searching for one that's made of good material--not 100% polyester. One that's not see-though. If QVC offered one, I'd snatch up a few in an instant. How about some well cut dark slacks or jeans. Not those silly patch ones they had as the TSV a couple of days ago. Yes, quality clothes cost more, but they're worth the investment. Fast fashion wears out so quickly, so does it really save money?

I agree. To me, it's either bold prints and tie-dye with LOGO or too plain like Denim & Co. (even Issac). He used to make some gorgeous, snazzy, upscale pieces a few years ago. The quality has suffered and prices have risen.

If you haven't done so, you might check out some of the designers on HSN. They cater to all ages, but I feel like they have more on-trend, stylish clothing.

@smoonj You may want to try Talbots. Well made classic styled clothes, great variety and their sales are fantastic.

@Sweet Kitties I suggested this to the OP Talbots has lots of classic pieces, well made and well priced during their sales.

I agree with what you said about some of the clothing. But what I would like to know every once in a while I will be watching and a man comes on the screen and starts talking I just wonder why someone doesn't tell him that something is hanging out of his nose?

I don't see QVC moving more toward fitted clothing. It is harder to make, harder to plan the size distribution, harder for clients to order, and more returns.

This is why there's a plethora of sleeveless dresses, despite the constant requests for sleeves--fewer points to fit.

I can't believe your comments. If ever there was a place with a diverse selection of clothing, it's QVC, with something for every lifestyle and taste.

Especially amusing was the comment about the clothes being stiff. With all the loungewear, it's more like too much soft and mushy. I've seen nothing that looked stiff.

If someone can't find a pair of jeans, within the huge selection of styles and colors they carry, the problem is not with QVC, it's with YOU.

I'm 73 and I shop mainly QVC and HSN mainly for fashion. Everyone has their own style and preference. I love colors and prints (I don't care for Logo but to each her own) I like Kim Gravels prints and I was actually stopped by a woman at a shopping mall one day to tell me she loved my Kim Gravel top which was a bright orange print. I wear my colors and prints to church and anywhere else and get compliments. I don't see my age as a problem wearing colors and prints. I think if you like it wear it (unless it's something showing to much of your body) I am conservative in that sense. JMO. I do agree with prices going up, I do watch for sales and I use Rakutan cash back and I get a nice cashback check every few months

First of all... why are squirrels trash? LOL

Fashion: they way I'm built fits into Candace Cameron Bure's fashions! For the first time in my life I feel like I can find jeans that fit me!

Her fashions at first had shorter length tops which I need.

No every line at the Q probably won't work for every woman.
My opinion is that most prints presented literally turn my stomach! Wearing prints is very much an individual choice.

What a long way buying online has come in the last 15 years!

It is nice to have choices... 15 years ago buying online was so hit or miss (usually miss) for a woman of my build!

My first venture was denim and co an all cotton, small stand-up collar pink shirt (loved); denim and co regular rise jeans/cords; Quacker Factory knit denim jeans.

Next fashion seemed to be enthralled with tunics. I tried, oh how I tried! But no...

tunics did not work for me! And they usually had LOTS of fabric thru the middle.

QVC has seen me thru the early harried years and then the baby years; the empty-nester years and now the retiree years!

It seems to me every poster that says QVC clothes are too youthful looking, or too trendy another will say they're too old looking, too frumpy, too this or that.

I guess I don't understand what patterns, plaid, or solid colors denote an age group.

I know for long sleeve button down collared cotton shirts QVC carries one from Isaac Mizrahi and one from Denim & Co.

I have never expected any one retailer to fit all my needs.

It reads like QVC has had fashion choices that worked for you through the seasons of your life. QVC should find and study customers like you! I'm sure they have customer demographics nailed, but maybe develop an advisory group.

Yes, (unfortunately?) QVC has been with me (or I have been with them?) through thick and thin.

Shopping used to be such a chore. I don't believe I ever really ENJOYED shopping in stores.

Several months ago I was looking for a simple one-button blazer and I didn't want to spend too much for it. I Googled for one and landed on Blair dot com b/c they have petite sizes. I never bought anything from Blair before and honestly I wasn't interested. Thought their stuff was for 'old ladies'. But that's how I used to feel about them. Now that I'm an old lady, I decided to give them a try and bought the blazer. Turned out to be one of the best purchases ever.

Now Blair sends me their catalogues and to tell you the truth, they have a lot of nice things not just just for old ladies like myself but really for most women, not teens, but for ages in my group. Prices are reasonable, too.

I think I'm younger than most posters here and only write that because I still buy a lot of clothing for work, mostly business casual. I shop many stores including JCrew, Talbots, Anthropologie and J Jill, but I also buy a fair amount of clothing here.

The question that always comes to mind with posts like this is do shoppers actually search for clothing on the Q site or just choose from what is presented on air? There are seriously so many things that posters may like. And even those these are not the so called Q brands, I buy plenty of Isaac, KG and others as well . Examples next

I think they have a lot of variety. If I had the money to buy anything and everything that I liked on the Q, I'd be a very happy woman! LOL! Maybe you would find more of what you want in the higher end stores. I do agree with your comment about $75 for a t-shirt. Yes, that's a lot but it's not just here, it's everywhere. I find basic tops and pants, etc. for great prices by scouring such places as Marshall's, T.J. Maxx, and Macy's. There are things out there for your taste I'm sure but it might take you a little time and detective work. Good luck in finding what you would like.
