They beat it to Death

QVC, please, please tell everybody to eliminate the word AMAZING. They are beating the word to death. And furthermore, whatever they say is Amazing, is not Amazing.

What I cannot stand to hear, and they all say it all the time, but some who we all know say it just about everything, is "wildly popular". If it was wildly popular, why do they bring it back for another presentation in same show; obviously it wasn't that popular if it is still hanging around...

Also, enough with 'literally.' It is 'literally' always used incorrectly. Most of the sales clerks on the Q are guilty of this but the biggest offenders are Jane T., Shawn, and Alberti. The other night, JT, said 'These shoes are literally flying out the door.' I'd pay serious money to see that.

Also, why does Shawn say that something costs a 39 dollar bill, or a 350 dollar bill? Does she not know basic monetary denominations? Saying that an item costs $39 or $350 is proper grammar and she should know that. When she first did it, I thought she was kidding but she always does it. Where are the QVC executives? Is this how they want their company represented?

As an English teacher, I would tutor these people in proper grammar for free. I literally would.

@skatting44 I watched Fall Y'All on Thursday night, and Amy kept saying the phrase at every chance, and David would repeat it. I'm sure they were told to do it, but it was so repetitive, I was wondering if I wanted to see another one of their shows.

You literally should grab one in black, one in white, and at least two or three or four other colors.

I feel the same as everyone else but this won't stop. I'm sure they say things over and over because they have to speak constantly and can't find any different words to say. I'm also sure the powers that be insist that they say certain words because they are catch phrases. I just noticed that I cannot watch anyone very long anymore. I guess I have been hearing too much of this rhetoric. I watched TJ today on the Temp-tations show on Q2 and as much as I thought he was so cute, he drove me crazy because he was so hyper and he couldn't present the product very well. And I realize he is new. I guess I'm getting too old for blabbering.

I agree about word and phrase repetition by the hosts and it has been commented on many times in the forums. Forget some with their grammar, my ears ache.

However, as I have said I pay little attention to what the hosts say because I know they are sales people who love and push every single item they sell which is bogus in itself. I am at the point where I shop on the Q stie so I don't have to listen to all the silliness and repetition.
