Just wanted to throw out that I like it when the models participate in the presentations. They add to the show and it's nice to hear their thoughts on the items. Great job!

I don't like it.

it's already too much with multiple hosts and a vendor. Plus I haven't heard them adding anything valuable.

I love it!

It's fun and different and vibrant! I love hearing the models talk!

To say they are unworthy of speaking demeans and marginalizes them.

I hope it spreads to all shows!

I prefer that they just model, too. Do we really need more persuasion? We can see for ourselves, don't you think? Of course, they're going to say that whatever is the best thing ever! I also prefer that they keep a pleasant, yet impartial expression.

It depends on who the host is to make involving the models successful.

Some do it better than others.

Colleen Lopez was a master at this on HSN.

One more comment. We have the power to change channels which I do if something does not agree with me. I have become very selective.

HSN involvs their models often, been doing this for some time now. I like it, have no problem with this. I think it's a good thing to hear how they feel about what they're wearing (if it's a clothes/vashion show). Colleen Lopez on hsn talks to her models in her shows all the time. I suspect the models know this will happen so they're not taken off guard.

Of course flip side is models won't be styling something and they then say no I don't like how this (garment) feels or looks on me.

It adds no value. Of course, they are going to glorify the item. They are there to model the item not to talk about it.

As for changing the channel. Why is this comment still around? It is human nature to watch something and then discuss it. Kind of like the car accident theory. You know you should look away, but you can’t.

If hosts can model willy-nilly, helter skelter, then models should be free to host and opine and editorialize.

Union rules may dictate who can do what.

Some of their voices and dialects do not match their looks. LOL

But I do think they are more honest about the clothes and shoes being comfy. Or maybe more realistic. I heard one of them say, about an ankle strap being comfy, because some are not. And I felt I knew exactly which brand she meant as uncomfortable.

I don't mind discussing products and all. It's all the personal talk the hosts do about what their families buy and what's happening in their pesonal lives. I don't mind a comment here and there. That's life but some of the hosts interject their family story and it has no bearing. Then instead of talking about the product... it's time for inventory updates. which is the so annoying to me.

So much negativity on this board. Yes, I have had some, but nowhere near as much as most. Anyway, I'd much rather have one host and hear from the models also, than have two hosts competing to get their voice in! I like it. It's a pleasant change to me.

Yes, it's interesting to hear their opinions once in a while. But, in general, I prefer "seen and not heard."

Doesn't bother me either way. I much prefer it over the hosts trying to play model and running off-stage to put on another outfit before it airs.

I’m not a fan of the hosts modeling either. The constant change is a distraction. We all know our own body, and what we look best in. Sometimes you have to try the item on.

Keep in mind the host alters the item. They do the half tuck; they wear it a little closer to the body etc. So, you never really get a sense of what it will look like until you get it home.

Is anyone else bored with the host / rep screen? And the video taped models? I miss the live models! QVC has taken several steps backwards and lost my interest completely!

BTW: I do like it when a host asks the model for her opinion! Models have great feedback.
And I don't care for the hosts changing clothes; they are there to provide product INFORMATION on the items being sold. Unfortunately, too many of hosts prefer to talk about their spouse, deceased parent, vacations, children or whatever comes to mind. Frankly, none of that stuff has anything to do with why the customer is watching QVC. They need to zip it!

We don't want to be entertained with stories, acting, and dramatics.
