It's time to cut some of the endless shows for the food shows. Anyone agree.?

Its pretty much routine now for afternoons to be filled with gourmet food shows. Those who aren't interested are a lost audience. However they must be very profitable or they wouldn't continue with them.

I personally find them very boring so off the TV goes as soon as they appear, then evening comes and it's a bunch of silly, yaking women all evening.

It's no wonder the Q is losing customers. Most of the day is unwatchable.

I enjoy the food shows and I order a fair amount of food. I find Rachael extremely annoying, especially when presenting food so I watch on mute until something comes on that I’m interested in.

There are probably many housebound people who do their food shopping via shopping channels. QVC is probably targeting that audience.

I 💯% agree with you. I rarely watch QVC anymore. If I need something I will check the website, but that's it.

@lgfan @Baileysbestmom I like the food shows and am not stuck in the house. I have ordered several food offerings over the years--pre, during, aand post covid and and have always been satisfied.

And no host "turns me off" so far.

I agree with that, I seldom watch QVC anymore, I might turn to it if a commercial is on but even that is no longer the norm for me. I really dislike the food shows though my hubby likes to check them out. If I check the guide and see that there is a patio and garden show I will try to watch it. But a big no on the food.

@Baileysbestmom I like to watch the food shows in the background when I'm doing something else. I rarely buy anything (bought potstickers in the past). That makes me not the target audience; but, it's fun for me. I like to think about the new food items and what I could do with them in my recipes. Who knows, maybe they will catch me sometime. I would never watch fashion, makeup or jewelry shows. So....

QVC cited food as a category that is doing very well for them. Q is trying to bring the company up from a slump so it would not pay for Q to reduce the programming of a category that's making them money.

I actually like the food shows.

I couldn't possibly watch all the hours given to food each & every week. I tend to search for the items in the show, since most of it's repetitive. I enjoyed yesterday with Jayne & Leah since I don't get to see them host together often. But I'm skipping most of today's Roar TSV day.

The food genre must still be pretty popular for QVC; margins must be excellent. Now they have David doing his own Gourmet Holiday show every Thursday with Steve Doss.

But I agree that it's probably what's keeping new customers from sticking with the channel and shopping.

@RespectLife It was enjoyable watching Pat and Jayne on one of the Gourmet shows. I was interested in something and had to watch, thankfully it was those two wonderful ladies.

QVC is in business to make money. They offer many different types of products and food is one of them.

Picnic and family time is here and many will celebrate July 4th. Therefore, it makes perfect sense for them to offer food in abundance this time of the year. Many people like and buy the food and look forward to the offerings.

Do you think stores with doors should only offer items that you're interested in?

QVC is not about keeping just certain people happy. They offer something for everyone.

Learn to be patient and wait your turn. Something will come up that you want to watch.

The food shows are a SNOOZEFEST. The prices are RIDICLOUS. As I was changing channels, I saw the Chicken Piccata demo. The price was $75 for 3 pounds, which is $25 a pound - MAJOR RIP-OFF.

Countless grocery stores and big box stores offer delivery too.

I can't imagine buying food from Q when I compare to prices with promo codes on the food vendor's website.

It is a snoozefest for sure!!! And it's not just the summer for outside parties, it's been a nauseating all year long fest!!! Seems like it's on endlessly..........
