Hosts selling food need clean, well groomed nails!

You would think this would be a given, but closeups of food with hosts' dirty, raggedy nails is a turn off. QVC is doing their hair and makeup so maybe QVC needs to start doing their nails too.

I so agree.....I don't want to see dirty scraggly nails when they are trying to sell me food....

While we are on the topic....when they do jewelry shows...how about getting their nails done....namely Rick....for such a neat dresser...his nails always look so bad on close ups....I notice it mostly with the jewelry....

don't want to name names but one of the hosts last week needed to attend to her nails before showing cosmetics on her hands.

I'd also like to see hosts/vendors have their hair pulled back instead of hanging down in front of them when they are presenting food.

Although it may be a major source of revenue for QVC, I'd personally like to see less food shows altogether. I'm at the point that I don't even tune in when they air the shows that are full of food items.

So do vendors. One of them last week appeared to have her fake nail separating from what looked to be a significantly yellowed real nail... VERY appealing...

I enjoy the cooking shows, but not the food/food fest shows.

FYI, QVC has a full nail salon where all vendors, male and female, can have their mani's done year-round if they desire. Some of both gender take advantage of it, some don't. You can't mandate it, unless TPTB aren't pleased with their on camera look and they get written up. Then they must get the necessary work done, and it is out of their salary. But you can bet it wouldn't get that far, because then they would probably be shown the front door instead. Appearance is everything on high-def TV.

Are you sure you are speaking of a host and not a vendor ?

I've never seen a host with bad or "dirty" nails in 28 years. If it got broken or ripped off and they didn't know it yet, well, that's understandable. Happens all the time.

It looks like Rick is a nail bitter, but I have never seen his nails look dirty.

The nai police need to be out there for every food, cosmetic and jewelry show. One Vincenza show in October featured a host who actually had " dirt " under her natural nails, it was very nauseating to watch, I had to turn the channel. The host grooming expert needs her/his hands slapped.
