New Hosts

I hate to be mean, truly, and most of the new hosts are pretty good. Julia has grown on me, and Allie Carr is by far my new favorite. She has a true "star in the making" quality for the Q. But .... ugh ... Nancy - especially this morning - almost made me want to throw something at the t.v. What is it that drives me mad? I hope Q can fix the problem, whatever it is! Her voice tempo (almost screaming at times when she's excited) and her repetition of the vendor's name...Ashley, Ashley, Ashley.

Well most of the hosts get better as they go along. Some get worse.

I don't care for Steve Doss for some reason. I don't watch much now anyway, but when he is on, or paired with someone as he seems to be, I change the channel.

I really like Dan Wheeler. He does not get much air time, but he always says something that makes me laugh.

I have to agree...I'm not feeling the new hosts...except Vanessa. Steve....nope. He's wayyyy too enthusiastic about the most banal items. It doesn't seem sincere. I miss Dan Wheeler.

I agree with everything you said PLUS she has this permanent smile on her face no matter what she is doing ... the smile never leaves her face!! ... she looks at the camera & talks to the vendor & talks with the smile on her face ..
she drives me crazy with that smiley face ... also she is not a good host

I was going to write last weekend after watching a show on Q 2 with the new host Nancy,was first time seeing her.I didn't want to be mean but after seeing what you wrote will back you 100 % . She was doing a kitchen show showing the Ninja oven OMG ,was she so loud,almost screeching, very hyper, kept repeating herself, and kept showing over and over how the oven folds back. Saw that the vendor Ashley stood in her kitchen holding some hot food and couldn't get a word in. Did hear Nancy say her mentor was Jennifer Coffey think that tells me something cause have muted her many times or did channel surfing as she is very hyper and takes over the show and vendors don't get heard.

Exactly. I think they either "have it" or not. There are several hosts - like Jennnifer - who have really gotten worse over time. I noticed the other night that she was almost "scolding" the customers that if they didn't order it something was wrong with them. It was weird. If Jennifer was her mentor, they need to give her a new one! Ah well, most of the ones I don't like I can still tolerate, but not Nancy. Mute for me know. And as I'm working mostly from home these days, I love Q in the background. The news is too depressing! Almost everything I own comes from the Q.

And now the Clarks lady is screaming again. And the Host can't stop caughing. I really need to go back to having the news on in the background again. It will be a lot cheaper for me!

LOVE LOVE Julia! beautiful, smart and funny! And of course my favorite is Courtney.

Nancy is totally annoying and another person said, keeps repreating the vendor's name over and over! She needs to go, along with Stacey. As for the old timers, I cant even listen to motor mouth Jane, can't watch her anymore. I used to Like Jennifer C but she's getting to be annoying as well, she talks over everyone constantly. I miss Elise, she was a sweetheart.

Please train hosts properly before putting them on air. K...

Please train hosts properly before putting them on air. Keep the good; get rid of the bad. Viewers aren't staying with your failures for months and months and months. They lose you business and frustrate the customer!

With all due respect, new hosts need be given a fair amount of time to adjust to their job. I think it would be fair to say that nobody posting on this thread had a forum judging them from day one on their new position, with negative comments.

Give them a chance!

Sorry but my ears just can't take some host, new ones and even the older ones,some seem like they are screeching buy buy buy,calm down.
Really never see that with HSN hosts.
