Bagels/Small Sample

I live alone and will not order food items, even though they look delicious, if there is a large amount in the offer. Bagels are offered with 24 of them, which is too many for me, especially if I haven't tried the brand before. I would like a small sample, introductory offer, of maybe 6---8 bagels, one each of all different flavors. This way I would know if I like them rather than throwing them away if I don't.

@JCath - If you're looking at Just Bagels, look at their own website. They now offer free shipping and their prices are often comparable.

These bagels have to be frozen on arrival (no preservatives), so even though I'm the only one eating them, they last really well in the freezer. In fact, I think it improves them.

I agree with you. I'm a family of 2 & don't want/need large amounts of food. Don't have lots of room to store in freezer either. If you don't like something, your stuck with wasted food.

They do the same with cosmetic "deals". Large sizes that take me forever to use. They're probably expired before I use them up.

Think they do this so they can charge higher prices.

I went through a phase buying these bagels. I was the only one eating them and they were very good! The first batch I bought I had to cut them in half then I froze them. After I finished those I purchased another order and those bagels came already sliced.

They are delicious toasted and freeze well!

The only reason that I stopped getting them is that I have been eating low carb.

I buy them all the time, and when they arrive I take 6 out of their plastic sleeve, slice in half, put back, and put in the freezer. That way I only have to eat 1/2 at a time, and they are just perfect to put in a toaster.

I also send them as gifts to family at Christmas and Easter. Everybody loves them and everybody has their own favorites. I do go to their website now because I can can get my own mix. Usually QVC only allows you to have two different ones, but on their website I can get four different choices at six per sleeve. That way I can get sweet and savory.

I compare the prices and often QVC has received special pricing that is not available on their website, especially for a TSV.

@kaydee50 I think some people just don't realize you can order directly from the vendor and aren't limited to Q.

I once saw something on Amazon I wanted but it was a bit spendy. The idea came to me (duh!) to check the vendor's website. It was a reasonable price there and at that time I could get free shipping on my first order.

I agree with the OP and will check the website. But I often think that there should be an option of how many items in an order...like candies or candles or meat! I may want three more candles but definitely can not use six more candles.

Am sure it is a cost/processing issue....

I always check a vendor's site. Products are often less expensive or there is free shipping and promo codes. Almost everything Q sells can be found elsewhere for less money.
