Rating Hosts

If I knew where/if QVC made it possible to register customer comments about hosts in a more discreet manner than a Forum or a Blog, I would use it. If anyone knows of such a site, I would really like to know about it. I know we all have our individual host preferences - except for David Venable, who I think is loved by everyone! I started out liking Jane Treacy but she has been so visible recently - she seems to be on air every time I switch on QVC - and I am completely turned off by her hyper-personality. Someone at QVC needs to tell her to tone it down. I can't listen to her long enough to purchase anything she's presenting. For goodness sake, Jane, CHILL!

With all due respect, I'm not sure they necessarily want us rating hosts... I'd guess they assume we're welcome to watch those we enjoy or not watch those we don't... As for David, he's not universally loved... I used to like him, but have gotten so a very little bit of David goes a very long way!

It seems lately the monitors on this site will not let any thing that's not positive be said about the hosts. There was a whole thread deleted about LR and it started out positive and then started to get real and they deleted the post. I would just not watch or buy anything from a host that annoys me.

A good, question, getting real, in who's, opinion? I'm fine with QVC evaluating their Hosts. If my evaluation is, that I don't care to watch Someone, I just won't watch!

On the topic, I agree with others who said the hosts are ultimately "rated" by their sales. I strongly suspect that's why some of those who seemed to be favorites of posters (Dave James, for example) are no longer with the Q.

They have their own objective way of rating the hosts. They're not interested in subjective opinions that would be all over the place. That obvious because complaints are totally ignored.

I can't imagine anonymous posts being used to rate hosts. I sure wouldn't want nameless people impacting my performance reviews. I can't imagine the OP would either.

I worked with the public all my working life....I sure would not want to be judged by the customers I served....we all do the very best we can...still some might not like us...and I would have hated to be fired because one or two people didn't like me...how unfair....

I just don't watch whoever I dislike...just like I don't watch any presentations of products of no interest....but I don't want a host to lose his or her job because of me...or what they are selling....

Very well said… You have the right attitude. I just hate when someone posts that so and so should be fired. There is only one host that I just cannot watch but I certainly would not want to see them lose their job.

I am sorry but tonight's gift guide at 9 is nerve wracking! Watching the host sway back and forth like am obsessed child playing that stupid game to the point that she can't even look up to say hello to a caller is RUDE, just plain RUDE!

This host get a big F- for tonight's horrible performance. IMHO.

If Jane seems to be one a lot or too much, that is the schedule QVC gives her. I have thought for a long time Lisa was on too much (like every night), but she is the one that made the most sales and could sell anything. I actually got tired of watching her so turned to another channel. To fill the time that Lisa was on, I think we will be seeing more of a lot of the other hosts. Some need the experience and I guess more of a variety might be good for us. Maybe not good for sales though.

I seldom ever have the time, or the interest, to post product reviews. occasionally I do, because I understand how these can be helpful to others...and I post both good and bad ones.

I don't watch QVC live often, but even if I did.....I wouldn't "rate" the hosts.

No person, especially host, is loved by everyone. I don't watch QVC often but even I got tired of watching Dave eat all this delicious food on TV. Like we need to watch it why??? Another thing is, the word "love" is being abused if it's used to describe one's feelings toward a host one only sees on TV....in my opinion, anyway.

A good indicator of a host with the most sales is if the host is only on in prime time and hosts high profile shows.

dear lord please tell me someone else witnessed leah williams slaughter the dooney show on qvc plus last night she was so scattered that the vendor was actually speechless watching her fumble
