Modeling Clothes

I wonder if it would be too much trouble for there to be two models of different sizes, I would like to see a model regular sizes, its hard to imagine what the clothing would look like on myself or anyone not overweight. Many types of clothing just fall differently on regular sizes than on larger sizes. Clothing looks stretched out and not in a flattering way for larger women.

More and more large models are used in your presentations, I am not understanding why, but it would help me and many others to see the clothing on a regular sized model as well.

I have never seen a presentation that didn't have a "regular" size model, ever.

I agree with you ..If anything i was tired of them only having Xsmall and xx small models.

So happy they are using larger sized models. !

I noticed that too and I think their sales stats are reflecting the plus size market is growing in leaps and bounds and the standard size market isn't growing as much. Qvc and HSN see where the money is and they logically are courting the plus size customer. Like myself, I'm a 1x. I can only say, welcome too my world....lol. Now it's your turn to use your imagination when you see something you like. Plus size customers haf to that for 25 years. The didn't have true plus size models. They called Jackie, a 5'9" size 14 plus size. Not very helpful for a size 22. We said the same things you are saying for years. Why can't they show a standard model and true plus size model? Perhaps they will in time. I'm just happy that they now have so many genuine plus size models. I noticed that Shophq also has more plus size models.

I have seen a couple items presented recently in which they only used a plus size model.

I think they are trying to be inclusive but really they are not. Although I base my purchase on the actual garment measurements it does help to see a smaller person, closer to my size, in the item they are selling. Some posters say they haven't seen a presentation with only plus sizes? I guess if you are not a plus size you are more aware when there are only plus size models. I feel it would be more beneficial to the consumers to visualize the apparel in their own size, different shapes, different sizes, a petite, an average, a tall and a plus size woman. So, I do think it only fair to show plus size, but show several different sizes also.

And add to that they are XXS or XS AND most are

5 ft.9" tall................has the average woman in the US

grown that much ??.............the women in my family haven't......................

@chrystaltree I am 5 ft. 7 inches, 90 pounds, and a size 2 or 4 misses in blazers and usually a 4 in trousers, but I understand your point about seeing a model closer to one's own size.

My late mother was a plus size but the same height as I am and I used to ask the sales person or an approachable customer for size advice when I was trying to pick up a surprise nice outfit for her from the local Lane Bryant store.

I appreciate seeing diversity and I suspect you are correct that the plus size market for fashion is growing and QVC is adjusting for a growing customer segment. The vanity sizing that was adopted many, many, years ago in women's fashion is a clue.

I have been the same weight (except during two successful pregnancies) all my late teens and adult life but I now wear a smaller size than I did back then thanks to the revamping by the clothing industry of women's sizes that took place.

They have extra small models and plus size models.
I rarely see a medium size model. Carrie was a medium, but I haven't seen her in ages.

@NanaFrost bonnie is considered their regular size model and Talia is considered their petite regular size model
