Stop hosts saying ‘STINKIN’ CUTE’ PLEASE!

This comment makes me so aggravated. It doesn't make any sense! Ive never heard anyone use this expression before, only on QVC. I have others that make me cringe as well, but this particular one is the worst.

The Hosts are always going to use some form of colloquialisms to draw viewers in .

It is the cozy family/friend sales technique.

The other day I read that just the word "cute" is overused. Anything we like is described as "cute." Surely there are other adjectives?

I agree - that phrase bugs me, too, but I hear it a lot, not just on the Q. And no, it doesn't mean that you should stop watching a program as some have suggested. It's an overused phrase that sounds juvenile.

I'd rather hear stinkin' cute than cool. I don't need a host or vendor to tell me what's cool. Do I expect them to stop saying it? No.

This phrase has been common for decades; I don't see it going anywhere. Fortunately, only a few hosts and vendors use it at QVC, and I'll take it over most of the slang and shortened-word nonsense that is repeated much more often.

I don't care for it but at least I understand what "stinkin' cute" means. When they start saying things like it's lit, it's gucci, it's snatched, it's bougie, etc., I'll be totally lost.

Another word I dislike is "bucks" rather than dollars. That slang sounds like the host is hanging around a back-alley room dealing whatever illegal stuff is available . . . and make it QUICK!

No matter what a host says, someone will criticize. I'm sure each of us has something we say that strikes a nerve or isn't liked by others. Not a big deal.
