Am I the only one who thinks that on some shoe styles it would be a good idea to put the closures on the inner side of the foot/ankle instead of on the outer side? For example, sandals that have a back strap that needs to be adjusted to put the shoe on. It can be awkward and difficult to reach around my ankle to adjust the buckle or Velcro. I just received the Clark's Sport Sandal, and I can't put them on or take them off without adjusting the Vecro. It would be so much easier to reach the inner part of my foot instead fo the outside. I think there are some soes where this could be part of the design without being noticeable. Most boot zippers are on the innter side of the leg.

Maybe, it's not done because closures could brush against or scratch your ankle, or catch on the other closure and trip you.

Zippers on boots don't stick out causing the same as above.

Of course, your best bet would to be able to slip into them without releasing the closure. Would a shoe horn held against the back strap help?
