It would be so nice, not to hear the hosts boast about receiving samples, when the customers are waiting 10-12 days on an item listed in stock when ordered. QVC just changes the estimated received date. Get it shipped faster

How can they describe what it tastes like if they haven't received samples beforehand? I appreciate that they get the samples shipped to their home in advance so they can give them a try and not have to make up their description of how it tastes.

@Trooper2 .... “Boast” ... I think not .... it’s part of their job to receive & sample the items that are presented on air 🙃🙃

@Trooper2 - There are two main reasons why food items do not ship right away:

They are almost always shipped directly from the vendor, so processing and shipment can take a bit longer than it might at a central QVC warehouse. (This also means the actual shipping date is not really under QVC's control—that's why they often list a delivery week instead of a delivery day.)
The most perishable items are shipped only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (or Mondays from a couple of vendors) because they are sent via two-day air to help ensure freshness. So if you order food Monday through Wednesday, there is a very high chance that your item won't ship for a full week.

I know I'd much rather wait a few days to get a food item at the peak of its freshness than have it ship the next day and potentially sit in a UPS warehouse over the weekend (or longer) and spoil due to limited delivery options.

How is receiving food products for those hosting a show any different than other host receiving makeup and skin care samples for the shows they host?

I agree and I don't see it as boasting. I hear the hosts say they get skincare samples to try but they need to to be able to talk about it on air.

Whether they get a sample or not they are always going to say how delicious the item is. As if they would ever say the item tasted bad.
