Can the host ,PLEASE say the price of the item for those of us that cannot see too well?

They never say it,all they say is how many easy-pays it is,then you have to count it up to know the price of the item......not knowing keeps me from ordering....

I have to get up and go to the tv to see the price.

I would also ask that the shipping cost is part of saying the price. When the

host says "You can get this home for only $X" it really means "You can get

this home for the first easy pay installment of $X plus the total shipping cost."

I haven’t shopped catalogs for years now, but I used to hate it when you had to search another page to find the shipping cost.

btw @Hairbag I never shop hsn, but it’s not because they don’t EZPay the shipping and tax as QVC does.

i do try to buy only what I can pay for the month I buy, but even so, I virtually always do EZP when it’s offered. I don’t carry a balance on my card, so it’s a tiny bit of free money.

I'm sure many can get it from our computers, but why should we have too?!

That is the point of live shows-to give information and to show things we can see live.

And many do not have computers. Actually probably a large part of their viewing audience I would imagine. Nor do this segment tend to do facebook I'm guessing, so not interested in the live chats and person sitting off on the side reciting comments not many are interested in anyway.

I know they are always trying to reach a new updated maybe younger market, but whoever is making the decisions, just doesn't seem to get what a lot of people want. These comments about what many would like have been posted over and over again, but to apparently deaf ears.

@rms1954. No, you can't get it from your computer and shouldn't have to. I'm often in the bedroom and don't keep a computer bedside. The price should be the most important piece of basic information.

@Hairbag - Just in case you weren't aware of this, when you use Easy Pay, each installment includes an equal portion of the item price, shipping, and tax. Perhaps that is part of the reason why hosts don't typically mention shipping costs unless the rate has been reduced or if there is free shipping—if you're paying six Easy Pays on an item that has a $3.50 or even $5.50 shipping fee, the increase in each Easy Pay charge is negligible. (And of course, they can't just state a flat Easy Pay rate for everyone with shipping and tax included because tax varies widely from state to state.)

Maybe she doesn't have a computer! Lots of people don't/ But they do this everytime, and it's terrible. Also when showing pants never ever tell the length. I don't care what size the models are in, I want to know the length.

I think the real reason they don't always tell the price, just the EZ pay,

because since the total price is ridiculously overpriced, they would be embarassed to point it out too much and also know if people heard the total price right away, they would never buy it.

Reel them in with the attractively low ez pay, then hope that they buy it before they change their minds!

loriqvc - Thanks for the clarification. I have used EZP only once and it was a long time

ago, but I remember being surprised when the total shipping cost was included in the

first payment. That may have changed to amortizing the shipping costs and tax, too.

Sorry, I was not aware of that. In any event, I appreciate the correction.

So I would change my suggestion to having the host say that each payment includes

the equal amount of tax and shipping for the number of EZP installments. It is just

innacurate to say that the item can be "in your home" for $X when it is $X plus a

portion of shipping and tax.

I have said this for years. It drives me to distraction that some of the hosts never give the price of an item. They only tell you an easypay amount. Yeah I'm looking at you Sandra Bennett.

The job of a host is to give pertinent information about the item. That includes the purchase price. Not the cost of one easy payment, the actual price. If a host isn't going to give all information one needs to make an informed purchase, there is no point in the host being there. They might as well just show items on the screen with the information in the box.

There is no reason for anyone to have to get out a computer, phone, tablet, etc. to look up information the host should be providing. The reason they are allowed to get away with that nonsense is because some shoppers, as noted here, let them. If I am watching and a host doesn't give me a price, they aren't getting my sale.
