Tags on the backs of shirts, etc.

Those stitched-on tags on the backs of shirts, sweaters, etc.:

GET RID OF THEM!

They make my neck itch so bad that I either can't wear it at all, or I try snipping them off and risk leaving a tear in the fabric.

I hate these too. I remove them with a seam ripper. It takes some time as almost each stitch has to be cut and picked out.

D & Co. is the one I'd like to scream at. Their tops - after washing the tag becomes a twisted crunched mess. Cheap

can't be without my seam ripper. i remove all shirt tags. not only the one by the collar. also the tags inside on the side seam.

This is funny because I can say I've never been bothered by a tag, never scratched, etc. Wouldnt occur to me to complain about it.

@Kachina624 I don’t doubt you, and wish I wasn’t bothered by tags. The skin irritation caused by some side seam tags boarders on painful. It’s a combination of the tag material and the place it hits me and sensitive skin. I am thrilled when neck tags are not used but the side tag is my nemesis.

I dislike those tags on tops. Many of Isaac Mizrahi's tops have them - and others are imprinted with his name, etc. I'll never buy tops with tags.

Hate, hate, hate tags. I have a remarkablely tiny, sharp, pointed pair of scissors just for showing them what for. And a magnifier 😂

No one likes them. I use manicure scissors to snip them out. However, manufacturers are getting it. Many clothing items put the tags on the seam down on the side of the garment.

I am quite sensitive to the clothing tags too. I find it's difficult as others stated to remove them without tearing the fabric. If they insist on still using tags they should at least make them simpler to remove like they would do on a reversable garment. Worst experience I've had is the Skinny Tee tags, even after removing them you can still feel that fishing line like thread that was used, Uugh!! I've resorted to wearing them backwards as my bust area holds the tag area away from the skin. But shouldn't have to do that.

To be clear I also have reactions to medical adhesive tapes.

If you are wearing a shirt or a tank underneath something else, check and see if you can turn it inside out. What bothers me most is the tag on the left seam that they moved from the neck.

Tags on shirts and tags in the heel of slippers. You go to put on fuzzy slippers and get the awful nylon sewn in tag in the bottom. I have actually written to companies complaining, they just say thanks we'll take it under consideration.

HATE neck tags! The worst are tags that use metalic threads....they scratch and are so irritating.

Guess I had holdover fears from the warning not to remove labels from mattresses and pillows....for years it never occured to me that it was ok to cut those annoying tags off lol!

Why can't they use soft material for them? Too bad the seams of the garment itself aren't sewn as strong as the tags are!
