What ever happened to elegance?

I miss the elegance of really nice clothing like Lisa Robertson used to show us and the fine jewelry shows with Antonella. There just doesn't seem to be
anything special on QVC anymore. There's too much
Isaac and why does Shawn have to be on EVERY NIGHT?

I do miss Imperial Gold, dressing for holiday dinners, men who wear cuff links, cloth dinner napkins......and on and on.

I mean can we make SOME effort ?

I bought a pair of DB dress slacks on clearance for the holidays. Need an appropriate top and heart be still....I have red pumps!

louis dell olio is going to have some sequined items if you are looking for elegant sparkle!

i am not getting them because i know i have really not a lot of dress up occasions to wear them......especially NOW!

Duuno if my Gram was elegant but she set the table for Sunday dinners with china, crystal and a tablecloth.

As an immigrant she expressed her grattitude for all she was able to accomplish.

@KaySD. Exactly! Nobody is buying high end jewelry or gowns. Just try to find a shirt with French cuffs so you can wear cuff links. Women no longer wear suits or beautifully tailored dresses. Right now casual is the word.

Maybe it went by the wayside when people started dying and had other things to worry about. Nothing is stopping you from being as elegant as you want to be though.

I try to keep in mind, QVC's target audience is Millennials. I don't think they are into elegance. Shawn's pajama shows, athleisure, joggers, and jeans, are more their style.

Generally, Americans have gone casual. Susan Graver is talking about weekend wear that's worn every day of the week.

Although, I don't think there will be many parties this Christmas and New Year's because of Covid-19, jeans might be worn with a sequin blazer or top.

Louis Dell'Olio will be offering some dressy pieces. Stay tuned.
