I have shopped with both QVC and HSN also Zulily. It is increasingly concerning to me at a time when diversity and inclusion is forefront , that the QVC group continues to use the description of nude/natural and skin tone in descriptions of clothing etc. NOT EVERYONE IS BEIGE. i am a woman of colour as many of you customers are and I am fed up of being lumped in as nude skin shade,. If you truly want to be inclusive change your dialogue and offer a range of "skin Tones'

@Melly52 We've already had this discussion here on the boards. With all the issues concerning us these days, this is of little concern to me. There are far more serious issues over which to worry. As in any clothing, if one place doesn't have the color you're seeking, shop at another.

@Melly52 People use a lot of colors to describe skin tone. But more importantly, people see others in crayola box descriptions and not for the individuals they are.

So much of what I see and hear today encourages us to think of ourselves as simply a color. As long as people to that we're in trouble. It's not about what color or shade or "skin" color. It's about the "color" we see who we meet. And that we see them as simply a color.

Sorry but there is so much more going on in the world. I'm not going to get in an uproar over what they decide to call a color to describe clothing. As long as there is a visual so I can see what the color really is, I don't care what they call it.

The channels have been doing those skin tone descriptions with clothing for years.............never paid much attention to it just because skin color wouldn't affect my buying some fashion.....................but in today's world anything someone says sadly gets disected and twisted.........too much....

Melvinaru: I agree with you. I simply ignore all of the cosmetic lines on QVC except Bobbi Brown. Your concern holds for lingerie and shoes. Rhanna has lots of shades and other companies have followed her example. Lingerie companies offer varying shades of nude, e.g. Wacoal, and Stuart Weitzman has a range of nudes from light tan to dark brown. Look for companies online that offer free or reduced shipping. Despite the convenience QVC may offer, I go to other companies that welcome all customers. Also, expect commentary from some that attempt to trivialize your concern; they don't have to respond, yet they do.

@Zernia Rose Well said and I agree. As trivial as it may sound to some I was happy to find a bra in champagne that more closely matches my skin tone. Kim's shapewear comes is many many shades to match skin tones. I'm just thankfull I don't have to wear nylons anymore, I could never find the right "shade". I've been thinking this for a long time..........

I believe I recently saw quite a few shades of cocoa, coffee, etc., etc. on HSN. Bras and panties.

Even though I have fair-ish skin, more or less, I've always loved the various shades of coffee, etc. in lingerie.

Although I understand your point, if this is so irritating for you, I hope you've brought it up long before now. If not, it just looks like you're just jumping on the 'take offense bandwagon' that's been going on lately.

I think it's a valid comment, since we all have made various comments and complaints about many, many things.

I take it as an observation, not that the poster is highly offended or that it's a deal breaker for QVC.

I've made negative comments in some posts, and it's just my opinion, as we all have different observations and opinions on lots of different topics.

Even crayola crayons came out of a "colors of the world" set of crayons to help kids have their own skin color when coloring.

I am just running low on compassion or patience ... with everything going on in our world right now I come here to relax a bit but obviously I can't even SHOP without some never ending objection to now what constitutes "nude" ... just pick a color !!

LOL, I can figuratively hear the Internet crashing if manufacturers suddenly decided that "nude" is now shades of brown and black.

Bet the name of a color would then take on added importance to many that think @Melly52 is making an unreasonable point or that it isn't important or is "reaching to be offended".
