Not everyone sits and watches for hours on end. While this may have been commonplace at one point, most viewers probably watch in short bursts. Besides, if the items were not selling and producing revenue, I am sure they would change. If it works for the, why change? (It works for the other shopping channels, too.)

If this worries you to the point that you "pray" others will voice their opinions, you may be spending too much time worrying about a shopping channel.

You don't get my point, and totally misunderstand me. You also are assuming a great deal, and are reading a lot into my lifestyle and habits. You are also very wrong. Your point may be correct, but mine is as well. With too many Philosophy shows, for instance, on every weekend, with repeat performances and memorable spiels, it's hardy possible to turn on the Q for a moment , to see what's on, without tuning in to the same old, haggard drills. The bowl of suds, etc., and other weekend shows are on for so many frequent hours, there is a humongous chance of catching an eyeful of the same stuff. I don't "sit and watch" for hours, nor would I want to. But even if I check off and on, the same old shows are on so much that I can't watch at all on weekend anymore. Not enough variety !!!! Nothing refreshing, too much of the same old thing !

I wish they would create a lot more variety in their shows. They are a gigantic corporation. I would hope they could put heads together and do a better job, and not be so stale.

Is this concept so hard to understand ? That's all my thread is about.

I agree with you OP and too am hopeful that with the recent change in leadership we'll see some changes for the better and hopefully a return to more variety in the programming and a more diverse product mix.

I look at what's on the horizon for most weekends, and frankly anymore, most weekdays, and shake my head, knowing I won't be watching... or shopping. One assumes a TV shopping channel prefers their customers do both.

I agree with OP. It's hard to watch Q so I don't. I can't stand the stand-up routines by hosts that aren't funny or classy. Humor is great, I love a good laugh. I just don't like the crazy dancing, inside jokes/comments, and goofiness. I don't want or need much of what they sell these days.

And the last financial report mentioned low sales in jewelry. I wonder why....oh, I know! It's cwap. Their gold buyer also needs to get a clue about what real women want.

QMaven, jackthebear, stevieb, CalminTheHeart, NJ4Jays, Tinkrbl44, I just want to scoop all of you up and give you great big cyber-hugs for supporting my thread and being in agreement with me. I always speak my mind but I usually get a lot of flack !! lol !

It's quite a pleasure to hear others that agree with me and don't mind saying so !!

I usually write this type of complaint knowing others have posted similar threads in other places, and I figure since I feel so strongly about it myself, I'll go on the chopping block and write the complaint/objection/suggestion myself. As I said, I mostly get the opposing individuals who like to give me a hard time for being so aggressive, or "bossy".

Nevertheless, I can't believe there is anyone left who would want the weekend programming to remain status quo. They are really pushing us to continue to accept the same shows. They might as well put it on tape and go home. Just run a 60-hour tape from Friday night until Monday morning with one person on board to keep it running, everybody else could go home. Wouldn't be much difference it's so repetitive. Throw in some Susan Graver shows, a sprinkle of this and that, and there you have it !!!

Hopefully stevieb and others will be correct, and the new management will bring in new and innovative ideas....fingers crossed ! I'm not going to purchase ingredients to bake my celebratory cake yet.

Nevertheless, thank you all for helping me make the point. Will it fall on deaf eyes and ears? Probably. But at least we feel better for trying, and we can't say we didn't do something to try and affect changes.

Bless all of your hearts.

Have a wonderful day.

-Remi

I, too, agree there needs to be a slight re-vamp of programming on the weekends. It has become predictable and I know at a glance whether I am interested in buying that day or can skip the channel altogether. QVC offers such fantastic products, but as a new viewer you would never know if a whole day covers too many repetitive products. I believe more variety creates more interest across a wider demographic of shoppers and they would be more likely to increase sales. As for the stagnant presentations, that is a whole different "can of worms"...and I agree it could use some help as well. (It's funny that you mention Philosophy because I smirk a little at the "bubble presentation." I get the same bubbles with $1 shampoo if using a bath poof.) I must say, though, Philosophy shower gels smell AWESOME, and it must be very challenging to come up with a clever and effective way to sell a product when it is offered so often.

I realize for some a bad weekend consists of kitchen items, computers, and recliners.

For me, a bad weekend might start with Logo, go on to Linea, add some Mally and then some Tarte, slip in a bit of Ripka or Bixby, and finish off with a few pumps of Chaz.

I don't need QVC to be for me every hour of the day, but when posters assume that everyone pasting here loves the same thing, they're wrong. I even buy from one of the vendors I listed - just don't want to watch!

I think Steam irons, computers, beds, and vitamix, over and over and over are boring to everyone....variety is the answer!

Well said, OP. I agree with you! More variety, less infomercial programming hour after hour.

I do NOT watch QVC 24/7 but when I get a moment to relax and turn on TV I flip the channels or check my TV Program Guide and will say that QVC viewing is becoming less and less of an option particularly bad anytime but especially HORRENDOUS on the weekends---I cannot move that remote fast enough!!!! It appears weekends are nothing but reruns of COMPUTERS, DYSON/SHARK, VITAMIX, PHILOSOPHY and BEDS---rotate and REPEAT!!!! If QVC wants to keep me as a customer then show me variety and something unique other than products I can get cheaper locally!!!!

As Stevie so eloquently said, if things were going swimmingly changes would not be made at the top---we can only hope the Q can revamp their programming/products which will result in QVC being a viable shopping option with more sales for the Q, and better viewing for customers!!!

And REMEE don't pay attention to the QVC "cheerleaders" who cannot tolerate any discouraging word about QVC ....With the recent executive changes and financial reports they need to wake up and smell the coffee (and I don't mean Keurig)....

Actually I thought the meant for me Saturday was a welcome change. Every single weekend the TSV is either a mattress, a computer or a dyson. Then they have full one-hour shows on said TSV every other hour. At least with philosophy there are different products within the hour and at least a possibility of a chance I would see something that might interest me.
