It’s Time to Rename “PM Style”

PM Style used to be a show about FASHION every Monday night. I used to look forward to watching it— there was always something new and interesting to me.

Not any more! I don’t think makeup, skin care, and hair care items are considered “fashion,” and should not be included in PM Style. These items are covered enough throughout the day. They must be very high-profit items for QVC!

The new show title should be “PM Everything.”

I'm happy the way it is, as long as they don't throw in vacuum cleaners or mattresses. Same goes for the cooking shows, please leave them about cooking and kitchen items.

It would be helpful if the name of the show reflected what will be presented. I expect to see fashion in a style show....not vacuums, mattresses, or Kitchen appliances.

I don't mind beauty, hair and skin care in the show. I just wish AS would not feel the need to constantly laugh hysterically, she sounds like a child. Between the sonic speed chatter and the hysterical laughter, it's a channel turner.

Newer hosts are coming along nicely, thank you. Hand the show over to one of them. The current host could go behind-the-scenes, since she is such a fashion expert. Give her a new title. Give her a raise. Win-win!

I really don’t know what show you are watching. I really enjoy Amy, she is enthusiastic and fun. I loved her with Gary when they were presenting the jean jacket. He looked relaxed and happy.

Same complaint, different show. People complain about ITKWD if it's not all cooking and food. You have to understand if the TSV is a beauty item, it willl be included at some point during Monday PM Style.

@QVCkitty1, you and I were on the same page. I didn't know Sandra was filling in tonight either. As far as the "iffy" one, I've had go with her cause I really like to watch LOGO. And to be fair, I do think she's gotten a lot better since their initial pairing. Those first few shows with Lori were a hot mess!!!

I DO mind if beauty, hair and skin care products are sold during fashion shows. I don't buy these products from QVC and I'm not interested in watching endless, repeative, boring presentations of them. They have a captive audience and take full advantage of the fact. My solution....I haven't watched these shows in years.

@Desertdi I remember when Kathy Levine and Lisa Robertson used to call it PMS and had a good chuckle about it. Not sure management thought it was funny, but I did.

I agree with the OP. If the beauty item is a TSV, then it will be included in PM Style. However, if not, I'm tired of the endless presentations of the same old, same old IT CC cream, or Argan oil. PM Style should be clothing and a few accessories.

Who says style is only about clothes?

My makeup, my hair, my facial care, my clothing, my accessories, my shoes ALL comprise my 'style'. It is all part of my total look.

I think hair and makeup DO belong.

I think all the hosts are just fine. I find Amy to be energenic, enthusiastic and fun. Same for the 'other' that follows.

I'm usually busy on Monday nights and generally only catch part of the "show."

BUT .... they are usually showing some "beauty" product when I tune ... so I tune out.
