I've wondered too. Is there logic to the existing order? More specific and popular categories at the top and more general & less popular at the bottom?

It seems related forums are grouped together. Posters who are interested in home related topics would likely visit garden, recipes, kitchen, holiday, and home. It makes sense to me.
