I know it's been said before, but I sure wish both channels would get rid of the phone calls. I'd much rather they show more products if they need to fill time. I usually switch channels and maybe check back later after I think the call is over. JMHO.

Yes. What I dislike most about them is that, while they are talking, they only show the host's face instead of what they're sellimg. Excuse me, but I'd rather get a better look at what I may be buying!

ShopLC does have a better way of getting live customer feedback. They have a tablet right there with the host(s) where viewers can send emails to them. They can choose to mention them on air, or not. If a viewer asks a question, they usually will respond live.

I enjoy the phone calls. I learn quite a bit from listening to how others use a product or suggestions they have. I don't find them cringe-worthy at all.

I particularly like it when someone calls in about a product that can be used several different ways, like hair or skin products. I have picked up some good points and have incorporated some of the suggestions in my routine.

I hope QVC continues with the calls. I believe it helps break up the routine of demonstrating a product, giving the price, and how many are left; all of which can get monotonous after a while, particularly on the TSVs when they are an hour-long show.

I can’t remember what show it was on but the hosts were asking people to post on Facebook what they’re favorite vegetable is. Who the heck cares. How boring.

I know this has been discussed to death, but, in my opnion, if they eliminate phone calls, then they might as well go to all pre-recorded programming, like infomercials.

Anyone else remember - when a few callers would be mad and complain to the host sometimes very mad.

I remember it happened to Mary Beth and LR. Poor MBR had a deer in the head;ights expression. Both calls were cut-off as quick as possible. That was years and years ago!

I can't stand the phone calls. I learn absolutely nothing from them and the caller usually prattles on and on and has to be cut short. I see no useful purpose in continuing this practice. It seems to alienate rather than attract viewers.

I think I dislike the social media more than the phone calls. To me it is a waste of time for another host to be on the set doing social media. I really don't care for the silly questions (what is your favorite pizza, favorite dessert, etc.) I don't like that for many things now QVC wants you to go to FaceBook, etc. to get info, etc.

When a caller says, "I'm so glad to see this XXX on today as I've been wanting to order another one." Do they not realize they can order anytime an item is in stock? Calls are mostly a waste of time. Also the "what is your hubby's name?" "Say hi to Harry from us here at QVC."

This is crazy because I'm neither the host nor the caller, but I usually end up feeling sorry for one or the other at the end of a phone call.

I cringe and grab the remote every time they say “let’s go to the phones.” It’s not fun listening to people being awkward and always talking about their health problems while the hosts take pity on them. It’s much better to have a social media sidekick who can identify relavant questions about the product which can be answered on air.

I too find the calls cringeworthy and change the channel. I mostly watch beauty shows, and get tired of the callers that fall over themselves praising beauty vendor & host for changing their life.
