@icezeus. Bingo. We couldn’t afford stuff made in the USA anymore. People here are always complaining about prices. If stuff is made in the USA it will cost more because Americans need to be paid more because our cost of living is more

I am a Temptations fan, Lock and Lock and.... But everything seems to be made in China. I want to support American made as much as possible. I would love to see these popular companies consider bringing the jobs to America, instead of employing China workers who are also underpaid and work in poor condiitions. Would be willing to pay more for the items too.

Would QVC give some thought to having shows such as "In the Kitchen with David" have special editions where they only feature american made, or is there so few products they couldn't even fill an hour spot?

There are plenty of local potters everywhere, the stuff is beautiful and although it's pricey, it's so worth it. The companies QVC deal with no doubt have share holders who are as greedy as they are, so don't hold your breath.

My 2 cents: They can’t offer 36 pieces for $39.99 if it’s made in the US. They are moving mass quantities at low prices to make a big profit within a 20-minute segment so they can cover the $$$$ needed to broadcast on TV.

A recent addition to my kitchen was a beautiful hand made olive oil dispenser I purchased through Etsy. The artist makes other pieces that are gorgeous but he probably couldn't keep up with the mass orders QVC would demand of him.

Maybe this is the way to get around China and other-country productions, look for small shops in America that will make what you want and help our own citizens thrive.

I also buy from Etsy and from local craft fairs. I love to give local vendors my business. I do occasionally buy a new Temp-tations item if it’s a unique piece, and I’ve found many Temp-tations pieces in older patterns (which I prefer), at Goodwill. I think that Old World and Floral Lace has saturated the TT market; I would really like to see some new patterns offered frequently like they used to be. I guess QVC prefers to order just those two patterns now, unfortunately.

I wish that Tara could find a way to bring at least some of the TT manufacturing to the U.S., but she could never offer it at existing prices. I wouldn’t mind paying a bit more if it was manufactured here, as the quality would greatly improve, IMO.
