Q has gone downhill

Selection, variety, price, and quality have all sharply diminished this last year and especially this season. I’ve looked at the same exact items for over a month it seems. What is new is a flood of brands I’m not familiar enough to risk buying as gifts. The brands I am familiar with that aren’t exclusive to Q I am finding for $30, $40 and more LESS in the market! Prices have skyrocketed for clothing even Denim &Co which used to be a bit higher but still reasonable for the quality. Not anymore! New beauty brands have been overpriced compared to the regular market as well.

The quality of Valerie products have been more and more disappointing. Same with Bethlehem Lights. Timers not working correctly and in fact battery operation not working at all! To add insult to injury the products are way overpriced for the most part.

Food items. Where did the familiar favorites go? We had made many traditions in our holiday festivities and gift giving for years. Harry London has been not only scarce but the normal selection has disappeared and this year for a TSV it showed up late, did not have the usual assortment and was 2x as much per pound as last year! Kansas City Ham already expensive but a tradition in our home up in price and no TSV that I saw. We ordered from New Braunfels Smokehouse instead and what a huge difference in quality, variety and cost per pound.

Lastly, problems with spam from sweepstakes, order showing shipped then getting my account credited back without any email from Q for an item showing not available now, ordering via web not adding easy pay option when the items are on easy pay, lunchtime specials for awful products out of season, having to struggle with other website issues and I could go on.

Q has dropped in quality, increased price, removed traditional favorites and is not the good value it was two three years ago. I’ve purchased the majority of my holiday items elsewhere saving on price and shipping by hundreds of dollars, had a better variety and better quality.

Sad to say but Q is not the best place to shop anymore.

@hrbdn. You make some good point about things which are common complaints. You are however preaching to the choir, so to speak. We are customers just like you and can't do anything about the problems you describe. Why don't you direct your concerns to the exrcutive offices. Here's an email address. mike.george@qvc.com. I'd also suggest that you make paragraphs to make your post easier to read.

I did and I am 100% happier! I spend less (cheaper prices) great quality items and ..........Fast and FREE shipping !!!

When did the Suggestion Box forum become a dumping ground for people with a litany of gripes?

This used to be a forum with constructive, thoughtful observations and corresponding suggestions.

Nowadays if you make a suggestion here, you have to 🚩flag it somehow so the mods know "a real suggestion" has been posted in the Suggestion Box.

@hrbdn, you had me in the first few sentences.

You complain selection and variety has diminished, then point out the flood of new brands you're not familiar with.

As @Kachina624 pointed out, there are better ways to bring your issues to the attention of the people you want to reach. And I'd add, it's not in your best interest to 'save them up', but rather address them as they occur.

Hope you find some resolution.

When QVC started they carried unique products that weren’t available at other retailers.

But now, with online shopping and increased competition for the same merchandise the Q has become just another retailer.

I can go online or locally and find the same products cheaper.

I agree, I couldn't read the whole post. When I see a post, which looks like a book, I don't usually bother to read the whole post.

Yes, I even found VALERIES stuff on Amazon ,including her Mercury Glass items..... The newest of her Kaludoscope Mercury Trees and all....................

@hrbdn ..... IMHO the Q has been deteriorating over the last few years not just this past year. Their inventory is boring... so repetitious. Most items they sell can be found on other websites for either the same price but no shipping & handling fees or for much less, often with no shipping and handling fees.

I totally agree with you! I've thought this for a couple of years now. Even the "Lunchtime Specials" are no bargain, and nothing I would want to buy.

Denim & Co. has really circled the drain as far as styling goes. The styles are frumpy to me, and a mix of stretchy polyester. Nope, no thanks! Susan Graver's clothing has sky rocketed in price for imported, thin, polyester clothing.

My Q bill has dropped considerably and I have not ordered much lately. The high prices, plus return shipping makes it hard to order.
