The hosts obviously see beforehand what items they will be selling. All of the item information is on a card and they even get samples. I saw Antoinette (who I think is a doll) and Courtney (who I cannot stand because of her interrupting vendors and laughing). Come on' QVC...this may be your way of making viewers feel like they better hurry and order if the hosts needs to order right away....viewers are smarter than you think and not going for it....

I agree and think it is all a sales ploy. I also cannot watch Courtney. All she does is pose and make such long sentences to keep anyone else from speaking. She interrupts way too much. Not one of QVC's best. Yes, I change the channel as fast as possible.

There was a time the hosts had to wait after their on air presentation to be able to order for themselves. Apparently that rule no longer applies. Cause they almost all are ordering live on air now. But Lisa Robertson is now the WORST for doing it. And if they are wait listed for the item or size she will while on live tv say but I'm the host I work here, why can't I get it anyway? And she's even went so far to the person (vendor whose selling the item) asking them on live tv if they can get one for her even if it's sold out. I can't stand when she does this. It's not like she isn't already getting freebies from the Q by working for them.

I think QVC and Lisa know she has a huge fan base and if she really wants something, it encourages viewers to want the item also. Phony.

I don't think it's real, it's a sales ploy. If they wanted it, they would have gotten it before they went on air or had someone else order it for them. It's a tactic to add to the buying frenzy; kind of like chumming the waters, so to speak.

I think it's a sales tactic to sell more products. They know what is going to be on air prior to the show & could order at that time, if they "simply had to have it."

I think it's a sales tactic to make the viewer think that it must be a great product since the host wants it. Even if it's not an act, it's downright tacky and a turn off. I know what I like and am not influenced by some silly host. The viewer is supposed to be the shopper, not the host. Either way, it just shows how tacky and bad QVC has become. It never used to be like that.
