MICROFIBER KITCHEN TOWELS

Please ask Don Aslett to offer a set of just Kitchen Towels without the cleaning cloths or sponges. Every set he offers has so many cloths and just a few of the kitchen towels. I would like a solid color background, not white as they get dirty too easily.

My experience with microfiber kitchen towels has not been good. I changed my kitchen towels out to Norwex microfiber towels. Over time, I could not get them clean. I followed the washing instructions to the letter and used Norwex laundry products. Microfibers latch onto oils. They must be washed in hot water, but that didn't even get rid of the kitchen oils. Norwex says in their instructions that if a microfier product becomes stained or lacks absorbency because of oil, it needs to be boiled in hot water on your stove top for 30 minutes so that the fibers will release the stain or oil. I was not willing to spend my time boiling towels on the stove.

I now have the best cotton kitchen towels that I have seen. They are sold by Grove Colloaborative and only available online. They are woven, oversized, and very heavy.. I have been using them for about 3 years. I wash them in scalding hot water with bleach every time I do the laundry. If they are stained, I soak about 30 minutes, then wash as usual. I am thrilled with the results. They hold up well under these conditions. There is no greasy residue and I know they are clean and sanitized. They are worth every penny I spent.

I agree with the microfiber kitchen towels. I won't buy anymore and love cotton. The microfiber even have a smell to them when damp. I'll stick to good old cotton.
