Gourmet Holiday Presentations

I know this has been addressed previously, but I really don't understand why some of these hosts carry on like they have not eaten in days. So piggish on air. Today I thought one of them would get their finger cut off the way they went for the food as the vendor was cutting it. Show some decorum, please.

Whatever you say. Have you ever been in a grocery store when they are handing out samples? The hosts behave much better than the average shopper.

It's called a sales tactic.

If the hosts never touched any of the food, or if they ate something and made "terribly polite face", i.e. "ewww", no one would buy it.

He (DW) had his fork in hand and ready to go before the vendor had a chance to cut into product. He's hard to watch because he acts like such a 'gavone.' (Italian slang) He's not the only hoover host, the women can woof it down just as good. Show a little restraint people, 🤐 It would make it more pleasant to watch.

I agree....it is astonishing! Every time I have done an afternoon Q check, Dan is eating as though he is starving! I think he should eat a huge meal before the show....maybe he won't dive in for the food as eagerly. It is quite gross!!

For me, it depends on the host. Some could "tundra wolf" it and it doesn't bother me in the least, others can simply just eat the food and I have to turn the channel.

I don't watch Q much anymore anyway and find that I'm much less bothered by any of it for the little that I watch now..

Dan is not the only host to behave that way. You can count on 2 hands the male and female hosts that do it. I seldom watch the food shows any more. Usually products I don't wish to purchase and I dont care to watch the "adults".

My grandmother would give them her look as she hit their extended hands. She had 17 grandchildren . All at her house for holidays. The girls loved to help her cook and bake and the boys stood by to sample. We all learned manners from her kitchen at an early age. We were her best testers. She passed at 101 and is dearly missed by us all. Her lessons and stories of our fun times with her are now being passed on to future generations.

Use to like Dan but over the years not so much - and especially with food demos - he was swinging his folk around near the vendor's hand and the food. I have to change the channel.

It's almost embarrassing to watch Dan present food. Even if he's in the wings, he rushes back to gorge some more. Can't watch him or SF do food shows.

Tundra wolf was pretty funny, too

I don't like watching DW at all on the food shows. I'm surprised most of the hosts aren't wiping drool from the sides of their mouths. It's quite a stomach turner

This is quite funny.....and true! I think it's even funnier how everything is the best thing they've ever tasted in their life!! I've tried several of the food products and don't care for any of them. Maybe because most is frozen, just isn't that good. I don't really enjoy watching the food shows, even tiring of ITKWD
