Spandex in everything!!

Carolyn,

Used to enjoy ordering/wearing Denim & Co. tops, but the last year or two I have avoided them completely after trying tops with spandex. Here in Texas, even in our mild winters, the spandex added to the fabric makes them too hot to wear. Even after washing and adding fabric softener I find that they are stiff. Please encourage the manufacturer to ditch the spandex.

I'm just the opposite. Even though we get some humidity here in Va that will curl your toenails, I still would rather have a little spandex in clothes.

I've bought plenty of all cotton and they never hold their shape. Just a little spandex helps a piece of clothing hold it's shape.

When it comes to lounging around the house, I prefer all cotton but wouldn't dare go out in it because it's shrunk and bagged out.

Everything in all of my closets are primarily (almost entirely) QVC so it's not like someone can say, "It's from the places you buy your clothes".

Just giving the other side of the coin (so to speak). I'm not saying I want to squeeze in stuff like a sausage, just enough so it maintains some kind of shape.

I agree. I don't like any spandex in my tops. They are not only hot, but also constricting. I prefer the free flowing feel of all cotton.

My vote goes to cotton also. In the summer heat a loose cotton shirt is the most comfortable. If the Q would offer a few , that would be great.

I have a latex allergy so I've been buying other brands Tee's like Liz Claiborne--what's left. I might be able to wear it, but probably not in summer. I just don't want to chance itching all over. I pass on most of D&Co clothes due to stretch is in too many of their line.

Totally agree. Without spandex clothes only last one or two seasons as they have no shape left.

I'm against the spandex in tops, too....bottoms, OK. I wear button down shirts because I feel constricted w/out the buttons, but I have had shirts that stretch out w/the spandex and don't go back! Give us cotton or cotton/poly blend and leave the spandex out of the tops.

I like my tops to have just a touch of Span.

It help the shirt to keep its shape, while the fabric is still flowy, and doesn't cling to me.

for those of you looking for 100% cotton tops, check out JJILL......they have all cotton tops year round.

for myself, i wont buy an all cotton top......it has to have some spandex in it for better recovery and look.

Yet another OP who thinks that because SHE doesn't like something, it should be taken away from all of us who do like it!

I understand she doesn't like spandex, that's fine, it's her choice. But she wants to take away MY choice!

My chest NEEDS extra. 'Fitted', is out of my vocabulary , too. I'm built unusual, Dolly Parton on the top and flat butt on bottom. LOL

If your flat that's hard to understand. Most pants are for the big booties I look like a deflated balloon. LOL

I also hate all the stretch in everything, especially in jeans. I still love my good old Levis that don't have the nasty stretch in them. Despite what QVC hosts say, not all of us need or want stretch.
