Stop selling jewelry with crystals

A lot of these pieces arrive with the crystals already gone or falling out within days. Stick to unadorned jewelry or bezel set.

I really like the Steel by Design line, but if an item contains any kind of crystal design I will pass on it. I read the reviews and the majority of them always state that the crystals fall out of the pieces.

I don't buy decorated clothing but when I watch (Susan G for example) neck area loaded with stones on thin lightweight material - you just know the stone weight is going to give you a sloppy appearance. And then - like you said - stones fall out and you have to throw your purchase in the trash. (perhaps that's the vendor's intention LOL) Give me a plain blouse and I'll trim it to my taste.

@newname0I've never gotten to the point where I received a lot of anything that was defective. I would have stopped ordering before that could happen.

I once bought a necklace from one of the favborite Q sellers. It broke as I took it out of the box and the replacement wasn't much better. I never tried another of her necklaces.

I once ordered a necklace and earrings from another favorite seller. They were very poorly made. I did finally try again - but 11 years after I got that first mess.

I don't expect companies to stop selling things (except when they're dangerous. I do expect consumers to walk away - that stops the sellers quite often.

If you do not like jewelry or clothing with crystals, the solution is not to buy it. Other people may wish to do so, and who are you to try nd prevent it?

If the issue is items arriving damaged, afte receiving enough returns due to the issue, QVC will take actions. Obviously, at this point, that has not occurred, so either there are many satisfied buyers or a lot of people who, for some odd reason, prefer not to return defective merchandise.

Most stainless steel jewelry is so cheap, returning it is not worth the time or money so people just trash it. Q continues to loar this junk off on customers. The stones are glued in as they are even with jewelry with non-functional prongs or bezels, and the glue dries out. Keep this in mind especially when buying watches with crystals, a more expensive purchase.

I thought this only occurred with lower cost jewelry but the following comment was for J323842 priced at 72.00:

Very pretty but crystals came out the 2nd day of wearing. The bracelet tends to crimp also.
Could be why the crystals fall out. "

I agree - I don't like crystals in my jewelry and especially if it's real gold. I can live with a $10 piece from Charmin Charlie's or similar store, but not some of these expensive pieces being offered.

I've lost count of the number of watches I've passed on because of the cheap looking crystals. Personally, I prefer to add my own bling.

I have never bought anything with crystals or with Diamonique because I don't like that sort of thing. And I don't like faux anything. I do not buy embellished clothing because it looks cheap, pure and simple. I would rather wear jewelry that creates a much nicer looking embellishment if I choose. Whether it is overpriced, as some brands are, or cheap, costume jewelry laden with crystals and other faux stones always looks cheap and makes the wearer look less than her best. But people buy the bad jewelry and bedazzled clothing, and I can't imagine why. I know that's just my opinion but embellished clothing has always been a real puzzle to me. I don't know anybody who buys it or wears it. Anybody. And I don't know anybody who buys gold plated or other costume jewelry, either. I don't think my world is very much different from any other place and I've lived around the country. But this is been my experience where ever I have lived.

@libbyannE I have purchased a few Diamonique pieces in the 90's from QVC. I also have sea glass jewelery, costume jewelery and real jewelery. Most of my family and friends are the same.

I have lived in different states on the East coast and in Asia. I don't believe I can say I have noticed one way or another.

There are some things I don't like but don't pay that much attention to other people to see if they have these items. If I do see this it hardly is a blip on my radar. I certainly don't think that much of myself and that less of the rest of the world that I would demand something not be sold.

Same here @Tinkrbl44. I've seen so many watches I liked except for the crystals.

Perhaps I should have consulted you before posting this but I relied on the many reviews of customers who found the crystals falling out after 2 days to a couple of weeks.

Moonchilde, You got it! The OP has a right to express his or her opinion no matter how much you disagree with it. You and others can express how much you like crystals and she and others can express how much they hate crystals. Pretty simple concept huh?
