VERY disappointed in shipping & it's cost :(

I had stopped ordering from QVC for YEARS due to their shipping charges, and only this last month decided to try again.... *Nothing* has changed

I live in SE Alaska. NOT way up north, but South East. Shipping from Seattle to my town is just about exactly the same as shipping an item from Chicago to Savannah GA. NOT THAT FAR. USPS Priority is an EXCELLENT shipping method. Items are received in about 4 days! AND, we would pay the REAL shipping rather than an inflated 'off shore' shipping fee.

I ordered a Canon T3i package & was charged MORE (QVC ALWAYS charges an outrageously HIGH shipping fee anywhere outside the 'continental USA') I paid what the REST of the USA pays, AND the extra charge for 'off shore shipping'.... I then received the info that my package had gone 'Priority US Mail'. I was SO EXCITED! Didn't mind paying that little extra then.. but then I also received info that it was 'SHIPPED: 09/03/2013 Offshore NonPriority'

The estimated delivery date on this item is not until September 16, 2013 The order was placed on September 1, 2013. Seriously?? A Whole SIXTEEN DAYS to receive it??? I could have ordered the EXACT same thing from Amazon.com and had it in FOUR DAYS to a WEEK at the very longest

I had hoped to do a lot of my Christmas shopping this year, with QVC. I can now see, that it will kill me financially just due to their shipping policies You would get a LOT MORE Alaska business if you took a look at the shipping and tried to work with us a little Most other places DO. I order from MANY other places & they never charge an extra 'off shore' fee
