QVC needs to hire women of color cosmetic vendors/manufacturers who "represent!"

Iman's cosmtics cover all spectrums of "WOMAN OF COLOR" skin shades & tones. Was she ever on QVC w/her products?

Here is a listing of just a few manufacturers who represent WOMAN OF COLOR as they cover the CORRECT shades, spectrums & tones:

I'm sorry but your current crop of cosmetic vendors/manufacturers products make women of color look like corpses lying in a casket. Believe me, when a woman of color model is used to demostrate the product, it looks even worse on a HD TV/studio lighting. Just imagine what it looks like under real house lighting.

I would never order cosmetics from the Q!!!! Do viewers think they'll look like the models? Plus --- prices are way high.

QVC has no regard for Their WOC viewers. For years customers of all hues have asked for diversity in sales and marketing. The only sign of progress I have witnessed is that most vendors, Mally, Laura Geller and Jamie of IT in particular, have stopped using phrases like /this/ these shades fit everyone". When questioned during live chats several vendors' representatives gave placating pat responses, all so patronizing, all saying in effect "we're sorry you do not find your particular shade in our product line" . The inference is that I am being unreasonable, demanding beyond the call for asking for something darker than deep tan.

Alisha models for most vendors who even bother with a "deep". As you noted, she always looks white washed, ashy. But we're not supposed to notice that. Never have I seen Monica or Adai used for cosmetic presentations, Josie's oil hardly qualifies and she never models the full coverage argan oil items. Jane rarely if ever hosts the color cosmetic presentations.

During Eve Pearl's last series she was repeatedly interrupted when she attempted to explain her unique expertise in cosmetic application for women of color. She has been praised in the industry for this rare talent. Her visits are few, air time limited and very few even know she offers a broad range of wearable shades. Jill, and others, abruptly redirected Eve's descriptions of shades every single time she even approached the subject of deep/ rich tones.

The new party line is that QVC is an online retailer. There is little incentive, given this mind-set, to accomodate any group of viewers and certainly none to embrace Women of Color with more inclusive presentations.

I must admit that I've wondered how the "deep" shade could possibly serve the darker skins. It always seems kind of mocha when that should be the next to deepest shade. I also saw a thread that indicated IT was dropping its lightest shade. That leaves another class of women under-served by this terrific brand. It could well be that they weren't selling enough of that lightest shade to make manufacturing it profitable.

I wonder why Iman doesn't sell her make-up on HSN. That would be an alternative for women looking for a deeper shade.

I agree. I have bought items and the look was so chalky for My skin of color. I love QVC shopping and I want was is available to other women. Even in 2017 I have to travel around to find my hair care

I agree they should, I am very pale. I think it's about the money, always is. I think America is 13 percent black, so subtract the men and children, and there is just not enough profit.

I do not know the solution but I do know there are several beauty boxes for WOC. Are you able to find something that works other places? Perhaps QVC corporate is unaware of this problem. I would hope they could consider new options.

I just love it when I'm given suggestions of where to go. Not one of the companies listed offers anything near my shade. IT. Laura Geller, Bobbie Brown, Bare Minerals, lancome, Too Faced, Trish,.... NOT ONE makes an effort to see and duplicate real skin of richer hues. Which is the OP's point. A dismissive " Let them eat cake" response just adds insult to injury. We know we have to search elsewhere, have since the beginning .
