topic Do Not sell UK-only Electronics (Kindle Fire HD 7) to US Customers/DECEPTIVE SALES Practices in Suggestion Box

I recently purchased the Kindle Fire HD 7" tablet after much research about what I wanted to accomplish in usage of a tablet, and the main reason for purchasing the Kindle was that it would interact seamlessly with my existing Amazon Prime and Amazon Music Cloud Premium services. The only reason I bought it from the Q was the easy pay. Well, who would have thought that QVC would deceive its customers by selling UK only compatible devices to its US customers!!!

After several hours of wonderful customer support and help from the Amazon staff, I learned that some of the problems I was having moving content from my Amazon US Music Cloud account was because the QVC Kindle model was registered to the United Kingdom and Amazon US could not address some of the issues!

The great Amazon staff is now attempting to solve the issue by re-registering my Kindle to receive support and service from Amazon US-- but I will have to de-register and re-register my device and content once they figure out the procedures from their end. I've already loaded a lot of material on the Kindle or otherwise would send it back to the Q for a full refund. I may still do that, since I am so outraged about these deceptive sales practices by the Q.

I love the Kindle, and recommend it highly-- BUT DO NOT BUY IT FROM QVC! I have been a 20 year plus customer of QVC and I am shocked at such deceptive sales practices. Nowhere in the product information online or the on-air sales pitches did the Q admit they were selling UK-centrict devices to a US audience. Gee, guys, you got a cheap price on UK remainders and sold it to US customers for above-market prices?

I will be contacting the office of the Q CEO, Mike George, and that dear Walmart lady, Clair Watts, who now has the title of head of QVC-US. (Gee, Claire, did you cut a side deal with your UK counterpart?)
