Long time viewers may remember that a few years ago QVC aired several programs of all American made products. They were great, something for everyone. It would be wonderful to see this type of program return to the air again. I'm so tired of poor quality foreign made products and clothing and refuse to buy them. We have talented craftsmen, artists, designers and inventors in this wonderful country of ours. We should promote and show pride in the outstanding work they do. I also recall that almost every item presented was sold out. Great for our economy and a way to promote good American craftmanship.

I like to buy American whenever possible. However, manufacturing in the U.S. has become very costly, especially in apparel. If we manufactured more here, then the prices would go up, and people already complain about high prices. To keep the prices down, then quality would suffer and we would hear complaints about that. I don't know if there's a viable solution. Also, as a previous poster said, foreign made does not equal inferior quality. It depends on the quality and caliber of the factory employed by the manufacturer. But then again, you'll get higher prices for quality, foreign or domestic,

I really wish more things were sold on QVC that were made in America too. People always assume that anything made here would be way too expensive, because we believe people should receive a fair wage. I noticed that when Susan Graver points out that an item was made in the good old USA,as she puts it, it is no more expensive than anything else she sells. QVC could at least try.

There is basically nothing made in this country anymore, with very few exceptions. And, made in the US half the time means put together here with foreign parts anyhow. It is what it is - we pay foreigners next to nothing to work and it saves the manufacturers a lot of money increasing their profit. Americans would never work for such wages. I think there are good manufacturers and ones that are not probably even worth the time of day. Even high end designers have their lines done over there somewhere but, probably are willing to pay a little more and get better people with more inspections of their work at different stages in the manufacturing. None of these people are getting paid worth a ****** as far as US dollars go so I am sure it affects their work - in not their ability but their attitude in making a good product. It all comes down to the bottom line for these companies. Profit will win out every time.

It is the way of the world. I really do not care where it is made as long as it is worth the money I am willing to pay for it.
