I think you should remember who made QVC successful. Your prices have become too high on your clothing, handbags, shoes, and jewelry. It was the working class that made you successful not the rich. I consider myself middle class and I cannot afford your handbags at $250.00 or shoes at $100.00 or jewelry over $100.00

Some of the handbags (like Dooney) and shoes (like Clarks) are expensive everywhere, and always have been. They are also nice quality, and probably worth the price. Where I have issues is flimsy polyester/rayon/spandex knit clothing, i.e. Susan Graver, Logo, etc. The prices for that stuff have gotten ridiculous!

Add to the prices, that the sizing has become a joke for a lot of things, and maybe it's time to rethink buying from QVC.

I just received the recent Clarks TSV espadrilles. In the description AND in the presentation they were described as "true-to-size". NOT! Both pair I ordered in the same size as every other pair of Clarks shoes in my closet, were way too small and way too narrow. I'm now out $23.90 for shipping both ways for shoes that were misrepresented!

So, yes, in general I think the prices have gotten too high for many things, and the ridiculous shipping/return costs have made it worse!

They sell at prices the market will tolerate. As long as people keep buying Dooney's at hundreds of dollars they are going to keep selling them. And, as someone else said some items are expensive no matter where you buy them.

Same is true with other clothes lines (Susan Graver, Logo, etc.) when these vendors are on they sell a lot so someone doesn't mind paying the price. I personally like some of SG's clothes and they wear well so I don't mind paying the price.

The other reason I don't mind paying is because I hate going to malls shopping from store to store finding nothing. It is a complete waste of time.

Although I think the prices are a bit high, if I am paying for quality, I have no problem paying the higher price. Yes, sometimes it is painful financially. However, I draw the line at the inconsistencies within the same line and no longer buy "try ons". Actually I buy very little from the Q these days because I am tired of all the "made in China" everything. I reviewed my order history for the last couple years and wow - have I saved myself some $$$. This year I made 1 small purchase - a trunk organizer which is excellent. I now shop very carefully, read the reviews, and shop for items I pretty much know I won't need to return.

I tend to agree with the prices soaring; especially in regards to the polyesther tops and Denim & Co. "cotton" jerseys that I can get at Kohl's for half the price. I don't want anymore flimsy poly tops, and I stopped buying Denim & Co. because the quality is lacking. If Quacker Factory can make high quality tops in cotton for the same price - so can the other vendors. "Liquid knit" is not what I will spend $50.00 on....thank you.

If you feel the prices are too high, shop elsewhere. It is not as if QVC is te only retailer out there.

So many posters here seem to want Tiffany's quality at Dollar Tree prices.

I think most people here shop in a variety of places--QVC, other online sites, local stores, everything from $-store to Nordstroms.

As for the quality, I don't think it's lacking or exceptional. Pretty much what you would get at a department store, TJM. If you see something you like and want, better get it, because you can walk the mall all day and probably not find it.

I think it's ridiculous to pay the price of Dooney bags, I just don't get it. But I like things those Dooney people don't like.

Speaking of high prices - I was gobsmacked at the prices from Melissa McCarthy's line at HSN, on yesterday. Almost everything, no matter what it was, topped $60. T-shirts $75, jeans pushing $100, ordinary blouses $80-90. Say what? And I either thought most of it was fugly, or totally plain. The whole price/fugly thing was just bizarre.

For name brand products that can be purchased elsewhere, the prices are about the same. Cosmetics/health products appear to have the biggest deals and often shoes and boots can be purchased during special promos for a very good price. I don't really shop name brands on QVC as the discount is rarely all the much especially when tax and shipping are added in.

So many posters here seem to want Tiffany's quality at Dollar Tree prices.

I read recently that in 2014 QVC shipped 173 million packages and they currently sell porducts in many places around the world. They aren't exactly hurting for business even considering the current pricing structure. It is up to each of us to decide what we can afford and to shop accordingly. Retailers aren't going to change a successful business plan because some current customers can no longer afford their products.

I am shopping at EVINE and HSN for the past year on most things. Their prices are not high like QVC and they are good. Love their fashion and their skincare lines.

In the past business cared about their customers, especially since that is why they were successful in the first place. It is like in school, you run around with the nerds and liked them until the popular people started to like you and than you dump the nerds for them.

I don't shop here for clothes, I need petites and with most of their tops covering guts and butts, they look like tents on me. Plus $49 for a shirt? No way.

I watch the morning fashions on QVC. it's like thumbing through a catalog of a business I won't buy from. I don't shop at QVC because of a lengthy past history of their not providing me with quality, value or convenience.

So so why do I watch? I like to look at the clothes. But the prices are ridiculous! For the same quality, I can go to my local B&M. For the price, that same store offers deep discounts on clearance items plus coupons. I walked out with two designer tops for less than $20. When was the last time you could buy two tops at the Q for $20 total? A designer athletic cardigan that looks so much like LOGO, I had to do a double take, only cost me $19.99.

Even if QVC offered serious and not insultingly meager clearance sales, I wouldn't buy from them. Their return policy is ridiculous. I'd rather take 10 minutes to try on an item at the store, rather than try on at home, find it doesn't work for me, have to pack it back up, and go to the trouble and expense of returning it to QVC. That isn't a convenience to me.

Maybe the real reason I watch QVC is to see those prices, feel good about not paying them and know that I support my community and those that work in my local store.

What I love about QVC is that they DO offer the more expensive brands (shoes, handbags) which are quality items.... and offer easy pay. While I don't over do it, I

do take advantage of these items once in awhile because spreading the payment out

over 5 months or so allows me to own it when I wouldn't buy it at the brick & mortar price. I do watch for clearance items.... and I keep strict track of what I have on easy pays and when I've paid it off.

But I agree regarding the super-thin materials and the pricing...(example S.G. items) but again, having sewn my entire life I've seen the rise in the cost of materials (all of them), the rise in costs of everything else you need to make the item, buttons, elastic, facing, pattern, etc. etc.... but I rarely buy clothing off the Q anymore. My last purchase was a D & C Sherpa zip front coat ($54 I think) that I loved so much I did order another color).....

So there it is for me... kind of a love/hate relationship......

you have to set a limit is what I do for myself.

100 the most for a bag

100 the most for shoes

I don't have anybody to impress and if you want quality you have to spend that much for like a Vera bag or Clarks shoes.
