Search Features and Page choosers!

I would like to add two things to my "wish list" for forum features changes...

1) When trying to get to posts within a topic, navigation takes FOREVER...could a feature be installed in which the page number could be typed in? Only three pages are available at a time

2)The search box is confusing to me... for instance, a while ago I typed in "New Girl" (TV show) and nothing came up. At other times, one can type in a topic and numerous discussions come up... unless one remembers the exact wording..

@LTT1, I would also really appreciate having a feature that allow you to go directly to any particular page in a thread. -- Some of the threads are very long and so it's really frustrating to have to go through 40-50 pages in order to get to the page that you want.

My experience with the search box feature is a bit difference, because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't give me any results at all (for say something like Vitamix or Wen). -- Basically, sometimes the search function just doesn't work at all.
