Germack - use a spoon

This really bugs me .....when the woman who demos Germack uses her finger to 'push' the nuts & other items toward the camera - can't somebody give her a spoon to 'push'? Her hands are shanking all the time and (sometimes) fingernails aren't the most pleasant. Same for the Kansas Beef guy - ugh - disgusting.

I can't watch the Germack presentations anymore. She runs her hands through the nuts constantly! Most of the time, I assume the crew and staff get to eat the food that is demonstrated. I don't think anyone who is not actually starving would want to put that stuff in their mouths after hands have gone through it over and over. Why not just pour out one jar and use a scoop to show its contents? Or take one handful and point out the nuts and berries or fruits? It is kind of gross, and really quite a waste.

Is she back again? Yes, she always uses her fingers to push the nuts forward. It's kind of gross. When they say "Germack," I think "germs."

Are people here under the impression that the products shown on air are being sent out to customers? Do people think this is being served to the public?

They do these demonstrations and manipulate the products to demonstrate qualities of the food such as texture. Believe it or not, the use of a utensil would not show it as well. Regardless, this is not a product being sent to the viewers, so the idea that it is gross or germy really has no bearing on the quality of product one will receive at home.

I am not a fan of the product or the presenter, but the idea that one is going to et cooties seems a bit irrational.

People seem to assume that the crew is a group of starving animals that can't wait to devour whatever props are left over--and unually not fit to eat any way after they are painted with oils, left out for hours, handled, and such.

Where I work, I don't even eat the things they set out for reception. Ick. WORK food. Sits ther and is pawed over. NOOOOOO Thanks! I'll bet the crew at QVC feels the same way.

It's a prop, a tax deduction, it's not wasted. It is used to sell a gazillion more products. It's a sample.

@KYToby .... I don't think the OP thought that the demo nuts/fruits we're going to be sent to the customers ... she stated that the Germack lady uses her fingers to squeeze the fruit etc., & then the crew eats the stuff after the presentation......I agree with the OP 100%

I agree that the demonstration could be handled with a little more appeal. The OP never mentioned anyone eating the demonstration product.

I watched a Germack presentaion and I agree. In fact I don't know why the vendors and hosts do not wear gloves. I am especially turned off by those rib presentaions.

I can deal with her pushing the product around easier than I can deal with her pulling those cherries apart! The cherries get stuck in her dirty looking nails. NASTY! Look under her nails, often she has crud all under them. The woman is flat out gross! It's so gross, I would never consider buying from a company that allows her grubby fingers to sell the product. What do they allow when nobody is watching?

I think if I were the Germack Co I would take the time to see how the product was being presented.

I have to agree that the presentation is disgusting.That woman smashes the fruit and rolls it around till I am queasy.i too wish she would stop mixing it up with her hands.All that nut mixing and fruit squishing makes me nuts.

gosh......... some people just need to complain about something! You are NOT getting that same product that is on TV now! ..........and you know it!!!!

Maybe that Lock& Lock Lady should use gloves too,after all she is touching bowls and The meat guy WOW,never saw him with gloves on either!!!

..... I love Germack nuts and have a few A/Ds for years and years.If you don't like them ,you do not know what you are missing!!!

Although I never noticed these complaints, and the situation doesn't bother me at all, ,I agree to make people happy they could use those light gloves when they touch the product..........BTW .so could every other vendor on the Q.
