THE REQUIREMENT SHOULD BE CHEST AND LENGTH MEASUREMENTS FIRST. THIS IS SOOOO FRUSTRATING!! IF THE HOSTS CAN TALK ABOUT FAMILY, FRIENDS, VACATIONS, KIDS, PETS ETC, THE PRODUCERS SHOULD MAKE SURE WE GET WHAT WE NEED FIRST. THE CLOTHING SELLS ITSELF AND ALL WE NEED ARE THE MEASUREMENTS AND TYPE MATERIAL, BECAUSE THE REST IS EXTRA. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TRY SO HARD TO SELL ME ON ANYTHING, IF I LIKE IT, I BUY IT. THE MOST FRUSTRATING OF ALL IS, THE DESIGNERS WILL SAY "NICE LENGTH, OR IT'S LONG ENOUGH TO COVER... AND THE HOSTS JUST STAND THERE NOT BACKING HIM/HER UP WITH THE 'NUMBERS'!!!!! I REALLY DON'T THINK THE RIGHT PEOPLE ARE GETTING THESE CONCERNS, BECAUSE THERE ARE STILL AN AWFUL LOT OF THEM.

OMMITED INFO DEFINITELY DOES AFFECT "THE BOTTOM LINE" AND NO BUSINESS WANTS TO EVER LOSE MONEY. THE JOB OF THE HOST IS TO SATISFY THE CUSTOMER, BUT FOR SOME REASON, OUR CONCERNS REALLY DON'T MATTER, BECAUSE WE STILL HAVE UNRESOLVED ISSUES THAT ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!. PRODUCT INFO AND THE HOSTS DEFINITELY NEED TO BE ON THE SAME PAGE AT ALL TIMES!!

QVC wants to keep garment measurements secret. All we could get after our protests years ago, when QVC stopped telling us anything on the air except where to wear a tee shirt and jeans, was a concession to imbed the garment measurements on the web page of the garment through a link. Meanwhile they're hoping that we don't want to bother with all that, and that the chit-chat of the hosts will be enough to get us to place an order, hoping against hope sometimes that it will fit us just as it did those 5'10" young and slender models. And now with the cost of returns going to QVC, they have a win-win situation. Besides, some of us will decide to keep garments that we would never have accepted at a B&M store because returns take time. All I can say is caveat emptor...buyer beware.

when the Q started they presented garments that fell into their standard measurements so that you knew that if you wear a M according to that chart, you would wear M in every line they showed. every once in a while, maybe with a new designer, they would say this is not a QVC "fit." but they have abandoned that standard - so measurements on the web site are so important. since hosts don't help out on this, i mainly shop from the web site - don't need the hosts. i just like the measurements and the look of the fit of the garment on the models on the video. this means i don't really "watch" the channel.

I always go on line and check the measurements before ordering. Since you posted here, that means you have access to their web site, so you could do the same thing. It doesn't take long.

It should be a job requirement of the host to give the viewer all the info they need in order to make an informed purchase. We can't touch the item or try it on, so they need to help us with that. Not everyone has a computer or internet access or should have to bother to even take the time to get on the computer at the time they are watching. I've said it over and over, but if I have to do all the legwork, I might just as well go to the mall. Besides, when you are able to take the time to get on the computer, the sizes, colors, etc that you need may be gone.

Too much time talking about nonsense and not enough time giving a professional presentation. They talk too much about themselves than the products they are there to sell. Sell the darn products instead of yourselves, please!!

It all started some years ago, via Jayne Brown wanting only the size charts available to customers, & we all know that doesn't work, one time on air she said something to the effect "well they'll just have to get used to it won't they" then many of us complained loud & clear, so after a long time tpb put garment measurements online, very seldom do you see them on air nowadays.

I for one will not buy without garment measurements so if I'm not near my laptop, no sale.

I have tried, but failed, to decipher the "specific garment measurement" chart (which is available on every garment). I had hoped this chart would give me some insight into the actual garment sizing. But it does not. It provides measurements... but of what areas? Does anyone know where the "long front body length from HPS (over 36 inches) measurement" (as listed on the specific garment measurement charge for a IM dress) is located on our bodies? How about the "Across Chest_inches from HPS"? My two personal favorites are the "muscle circumference 1 inch below armhole" and the "front neck drop from imaginary line @HPS to seam". I am just a mere mortal trying to buy a dress. I don't understand that chart. My wish is for a more simplified measurements. I am with @AUNT B. I would like someone using a tape measure for the fullest area of the bust, the fullest area of the hip, and the length of the dress from the middle of the back of the neck to the bottom of the hem. It would make my ordering easier!

If you go down to the end of the description and find the "click here" for all the measurements.

I use every time for the chest circumference 1" below arm opening and the inside seam length for pants. Amazing the differences in the same family of clothes. These are a number of simple measurements.

I also check the reviews while I'm at it so of course if I'm seriously buying I want to know.

Chest size in the large is 19 inches around? what?

Carolyn doing the Denim and Co. shows is the best. She's not afraid for us to see her big stomach when she lifts her top to show how the waist is elastic, etc. She explains everything in detail and what size she wears, etc. I like her the best as a clothes host.

Susan Graver is to busy dancing and preening before the camera to stand still long enough to demonstrate any positive things about the garment.

I'm glad your a size 4, Susan, Ok, we got it. Carolyn , is more every day honest and not afraid to be older and doesn't seem to care if people like it or not.

I know your question was directed to someone else, but I had to jump in here because I know the frustration. I think the "chest circumference 1 in below armhole" should have read something like "chest back seam to seam" because it's an open front coat. So I would double that # and say the chest circumference is 39.5.

It's just a guess though...even tho Q has this info for us, it's not reliable in my experience. And even tho I know that sizing inconsistencies are everywhere now, I can't help but believe that all this benefits Q in return shipping.

In case someone is reading this and has always wondered what the heck HPS means = high point shoulder...the highest point along the shoulder seam.

The coat is beautiful...did you get it (or are you still trying to figure out what size to get LOL!)?

Oh yeah, I bought it alright ! Paid 115 total ! Raunchiest sweater ever made and I have 2 of his other sweaters that are perfection, but, this rag was a mess. Lint bucket, pilled something awful hung way down in the front and way up in the back. Must had been made on a Friday. I sent right back and they deducted 3 bucks from the total. I paid my own postage to mail back too, so, I lost on that deal.
I never dreamed an Isaac sweater would be a piece of 'stuff'.
I loved the design with the hoody and all, but, was not meant to be ended up going to Dillards and buying one made by '3 sisters'.

Why were they 'against' it I wonder??? Why be against giving more information to your customers so they have fewer returns and are more satisfied?? smh

I should had paid attention to the reviews that I did read before buying, but, I thought it was words by somebody who was a nit picker and didn't know how to take care of different clothing issues like pilling, etc. Thought just be a little lint, not big ol' balls of fluff, husband walked in while I was shaking it out and hollered "is it snowing"............sigh.....................

You may thank or blame Jayne Brown for the failure of the hosts to give measurements. She convinced the PTB that giving measurements were a waste of time and they bought it. I refuse to take the time to check the Internet to obtain this information so QVC has lost so much potential business from me because I am a impulse buyer and taking the time to check measurements on line is beyond the limits of my interest in the product.

Well, I am not willing to blame Jayne Brown, although I do agree she certainly promoted it more than any other host. I got the impression there was a committee who looked into it, and Jayne was part of the committee.

Jeanne Bice would get so mad at hosts giving measurements! I thought that was nasty of her, and of course the hosts would try to mollify her on air.

As long as we're suggesting, I would like the waist measurements given! Some of us are Apple shapes and the hip measurement doesn't help.

I totally agree that if they have time to discuss their personal lives, or tell us how to wear an item, they can give us more information about the garment!
