I totally agree with you ..... the ones in question speak so fast that I sometimes can't understand a word that comes out of their mouths .... there are a least 3 of them that need to go .... maybe some of the new hires will replace them!!!

I agree. It sounds very unprofessional. I don't think they will change. I've just stopped watching most of the programming. Too nerve wracking.

I also agree.... and please coach some of the hosts in the pronounciation of very easy words....

They are starting to say PERticular instead of PARticular on a regular basic.

In fact many are pronouncing PER for many words starting with PAR.

I have to give Jacque credit for being the only host to correctly pronounce a lot of the words the rest of the hosts are slopping through.....

Maybe I need to activate the closed caption on my tv-then I could read along on the bottom of my screen and read what they're saying!!!

Who is doing this? I couldn't tell who the heck you were addressing.

I don't think the hosts talk fast at all ..... how many years has it been since you last had your hearing checked?

Maybe it's time to turn on the Close Caption feature on your TV ??

Not saying they aren't issues, but without even getting into pronunciation, syntax, or whether the moon is a planet... I agree the hosts have largely become a nerve wracking hot mess and it's one of the several significant reasons I increasingly opt out of watching. Some are worse than others and far harder to watch, so I don't.

Shopping is supposed to be fun, but they've just about sucked all the joy out of what used to be a pleasurable watching and shopping experience with the manic, disorganized, hebephrenic, over the top approach to sales.

If you ever want proof of the hosts' fast pace or frequent grammatical errors just turn on your closed captioning option. Neither human nor automated voice recognition transcriptionist can keep up with the pace. There is so often no accurate translation for the language being transcribed that what is written is more frequiently gibberish than anything resembling coherent speech.. Sometimes the flow just stops and blanks are inserted.

Who you ask? - Just tune in to late night/early morning QVC. You'll know you've tuned into the right program when your CC goes haywair, you can't understand what is being typed and there's someone pointing at you, hands on hip, talking a mile a minute, punctuating their discourse with an oddly placed, loud guffaw. You'll know it's the right show when the look of exasperation on the vendor's face is the only thing you can accurately interpret, when they are caught dumfounded, mouths gaping as they are constantly interrupted, contradicted, talked over.

I'd like to love the Q again, especially late nights when insomniacs have so few choices, wouldn't you?

Funny thing that I turned on QVC and checking the Q Board and Kerstin is the on air host, and my head is spinning. Wow, her mouth moves fast! I had to change channels. QVC has so turned me off, not only do I rarely watch them, I seldom come to this Board. For a great many years, I enjoyed QVC as a primary shopping site and for my enjoyment.

The super fast talking combined with aggressive sales push without providing product information have finally turned me to other places to shop. Since things at the Q only get worse and worse with each new host they hire, clearly QVC is not interested in my business. I don't shop in stores and am an over consumer, I would have thought QVC would miss my money.

My decades long strange addiction to QVC is over. I reluctantly have found better service, better prices, better clothes, better household goods elsewhere online. But I do admit a nostalgia about the QVC of old.

On top of that, the speed talkng, screeching, ummmmmmms, made up words and other nonsense make many hard to watch and listen to. For people that talk on television for a living, I would have thought QVC would have a higher standard for their hosts like they used to.

I also agree and have almost totally stopped watching the Q channel. Can't stand the loud, over the top, use of nonsensical words throughout the sales pitches. There are three hosts in particular I won't watch because I despise their unprofessional presentations. I am sure that they are lovely, kind, nice people ... but I really think they are in the wrong profession!!
