When I'm watching the Q many, many times measurements are not posted, nor does the host include them in his or her sales pitch. Tonight I ordered a Mizrahi robe only to get on this site and find out that it was going to be way too long for me. When you have a 5'10" model wearing it, you're not too sure if it's going to be too long on you.

I also ordered 2 Logo cardigans in 2 different sizes because no chest measurements were posted or given by Shawn. After I cancelled the robes for being too long, I found that the size L top was going to be too small, but the size XL was going to be huge since it was 48". If I'd known I would have saved myself the time of having to go on the net, log in, look up the garment, check under "click here" only to find that neither of the items would work for me.

I find myself cancelling more and more things because measurements are not given. I also find that I'm not ordering as many things because I'm tired of looking up the items or more importantly, sending them back.

Chest measurements are very important because the chest measurements are not the same on all garments .... the garments made in China have smaller measurements than others ... LC is another brand that runs small

For pants, I would also love to have waist measurements given. Q focuses on hip measurements, but for those of us with thicker waists, the waist measurement is more meaningful.

i agree with this. my other problem is in the written measurements, sometime the chest measurement is given as "folded garment" and i don't know how this would differ from just a chest measurement, unless we are suppose to double it.(q could do that when they write post, too, for consistency).

i generally order online and always check measurements.

I think I have posted this somewhere before but I too want the length given as that is the deciding factor for me, especially for tops. I like a 30" or longer. I remember one vendor and one host who did not like giving the lengths, never did understand why as it is important to some of us.

Here's the other thing.

Height alone, such as they provide when they give the height of the models, is not the only factor in how something might fit. Even a petite model may have a torso equivalent to someone taller -- in fact, it's likely. Often it's the length of the legs that is different. (Not always, I realize that).

So, what I'm getting at is that just giving us the height of a model does not help if they don't also give us the length of the garment (in tops and jackets). And, of course, we always need inseam measurements for pants.

Giving measurements seems to be such an obvious expectation. Yes, it might be tedious for the hosts, but, as others have pointed out, that is vital information--far more important than suggesting where clothes might be worn.

I think if the measurements are omitted, resulting in returns, those returns should result in REFUNDS with no punishment charges.

I think providing measurements and other info about a garment or product is such a BASIC part of a host's job. Instead, they go on and on about their personal lives and other useless info. And some vendors use words over and again that tell us absolutely nothing about the product, like how "chic, chic, chic" it is. Describe what the garment is made of, how it fits, the colors, and measurements. Is that too much to ask for?

I liked when Jill Bauer hosted D&Co. and other clothing shows. She would tell us how the garment fit; if it ran small, large, if we needed to size up or down, etc... Jill seemed to have studied the clothing that she was going to present and gave extra info about the garments. I, too, miss the sizes posted on air during the presentations. And, saying the pants are "Short", "Petite" , "Average" or "Tall" doesn't tell us the inseam, which is important to know when making a purchase. Many of the clothing programs have become haphazard affairs, requiring that I check online before making a purchase.

The host has a card for each item presented. I think it's safe to assume things such as material content, measurements, machine wash, or dry clean, etc. are written on that card. If not, they should/could be. Hosts have the advantage of being able to try things on before they buy. It should be easy to let customers know any, and all, information needed, so we can make an informed purchase, especially since returning items has become so costly.

THE REQUIREMENT SHOULD BE CHEST AND LENGTH MEASUREMENTS FIRST. THIS IS SOOOO FRUSTRATING!! IF THE HOSTS CAN TALK ABOUT FAMILY, FRIENDS, VACATIONS, KIDS, PETS ETC, THE PRODUCERS SHOULD MAKE SURE WE GET WHAT WE NEED FIRST. THE CLOTHING SELLS ITSELF AND ALL WE NEED ARE THE MEASUREMENTS AND TYPE MATERIAL, BECAUSE THE REST IS EXTRA. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TRY SO HARD TO SELL ME ON ANYTHING, IF I LIKE IT, I BUY IT. THE MOST FRUSTRATING OF ALL IS, THE DESIGNERS WILL SAY "NICE LENGTH, OR IT'S LONG ENOUGH TO COVER... AND THE HOSTS JUST STAND THERE NOT BACKING HIM/HER UP WITH THE 'NUMBERS'!!!!! I REALLY DON'T THINK THE RIGHT PEOPLE ARE GETTING THESE CONCERNS, BECAUSE THERE ARE STILL AN AWFUL LOT OF THEM.

OMMITED INFO DEFINITELY DOES AFFECT "THE BOTTOM LINE" AND NO BUSINESS WANTS TO EVER LOSE MONEY. THE JOB OF THE HOST IS TO SATISFY THE CUSTOMER, BUT FOR SOME REASON, OUR CONCERNS REALLY DON'T MATTER, BECAUSE WE STILL HAVE UNRESOLVED ISSUES THAT ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!. PRODUCT INFO AND THE HOSTS DEFINITELY NEED TO BE ON THE SAME PAGE AT ALL TIMES!!

I, too, would like the measurements given during a clothing presentation. I remember Jayne Brown coming up with the "relaxed, semi-fitted or fitted" terms to describe the clothing and avoiding the mention of measurements altogether. MBR and Jill Bauer were the only hosts who read the measurements without sighing loudly or acting as if it was a burden. Lisa Robertson resented naming all the colors during a presentation, especially if it was the Denim & Co. line. I can remember a lot of posters complaining on this forum that the reading/displaying of measurements were boring. So, I don't think we'll get any changes regarding how a host presents clothing (including measurements!) anytime soon.
