I want free shipping, or volume discounts, or free return shipping, or flat rate shipping, or an annual fee for unlimited shipping.

Anything. Anything at all to show you value good customers.

Amazon does it. LL Bean does it. Zappos does it. Many, many others do, too.

Now it's your turn, Q.

I'm with you. I've been shopping more & more on other sites due to the prices & shipping on Q. I really love QVC & I wish I could also find the best deal here more often.

If they ever do this, they will then just be most likely jacking up the prices on their items across all categories. Their s&h prices are usually quite ridiculous!!!

QVC's sales are a joke! Five or ten dollars off and then having to pay a ridiculous shipping and handling charge, not including tax. I like Cas and many others shop much less at the Q.

I don't care if the Q is a multi billion dollar company, they need to think about how quickly customers will leave them and go elsewhere because we do have so many choices.

I agree i don't order like i used to shipping + tax is to high !! I do alot on HSN they do give discounts and i have NEVER paid any tax !!!

Agree completely! With computers being as efficient at tracking as they are, there should be a way to make ANY second (third, fourth, fifth) order of the day AT LEAST half price. It's frustrating to order something, see something you'd like to order later in the same show, and have to pay full shipping on that second order. HSN often offers half price shipping on any jewelry item purchased after the first on a given day.

Usually if I pass on an item it's because I've tallied up the tax and shipping and handling and seen that it's bumped the item out of the "value" price range.

I have shopped with QVC over twenty years and like the products;I have ordered. Now that the shipping is half the price of the product I cannot afford to order, even on the smallest item.

As many of you pointed out, many other retailers offer cheaper or free shipping that beats QVC's. Not only that, why can't the Q take advantage of the US Postal Service's streamlined package shipping prices? (Anyone else see those "if it fits, it ships" ads?)

The high shipping and handling charges at the Q are just padded profit. They pay much less that i would to ship due to discounted shipping rates negotiated.. If they offered reasonable shipping rates I would buy more often as it is I pass allot by.

The initial cost of many items are very good but then you wonder if you are getting a good deal once the s/h and/or tax is added. When I order the bake ware Temptations, a $34.99 seems like a steal for the item but that $12.00 s/h fee plus tax blows the price out of the water. I ordered Temptations TSV two days ago and $44.00 turned in to $66.88!!! This just took the joy out of the purchase. I ordered a set of Fiesta bowls from Amazon.com for $50.00 and the s/h was free. I also shop at another TV shopping program and their s/h averages no higher than $4.95; big ticket item usually free s/h. So what is going on QVC? I order less from QVC because of the high shipping and handling costs.

Shipping charges are ridiculous, which is why I had to stop buying from here. Almost any item on here you can find on another website for the same price or CHEAPER with free or close to free shipping. For the people that say "stop shopping Q if you can't afford it" you are just ignorant. If you like wasting your money on unnecessarily high shipping charges, that's your prerogative. Both my husband and I make a very, very good living and have no money problems. I guess it's because we don't throw our money away on rip off charges... Also, Q TAXES the shipping, which is really sneaky. Normally it's illegal to tax shipping, however they use the term "shipping & HANDLING (handling can be taxed...) An item that they're showing for $20.99 (I love how they present it as under $21.00...) ends up costing $30 after shipping and taxes. If we order 3 items, it should be ONE charge, not 3 separate ones. As for overhead, how much overhead do you think Amazon has?? Way more than QVC, so that's not an excuse, and QVC mark ups are so high anyway, it covers all of that.

Several of you have mentioned that it is illegal to include sales tax on shipping charges and you may or may not be right depending on where you live. Sales tax laws are governed by the state in which you live and QVC would be responsible for following those state laws. And yes, it is indeed quite legal to charge sales tax on shipping charges alone in some states or on shipping and handling charges in others.

Some of you are also comparing QVC shipping rates to your own experience which, I am sorry makes no sense. You as individuals shipping something are not running a TV network or paying for the cost and upkeep of warehouses and the salaries of those who are involved in getting items shipped - that is called handling.

Do I think QVC shipping and handling charges are high - yes. Are they higher than a lot of other online retailers - some yes and some no. I prefer to use Amazon, where I get "free" S&H on most products. However, I pay $79 a year for that service so it really isn't "free" and I must buy enough from them to come out even at the end of the year - my $79 vs what the S&H would have been on items I ordered.

I also used to buy a lot more from QVC than I do now, but that is more due to what I consider quality of items, lack of variety, and with more competition I can often find the actual item for less elsewhere.

I am a long time QVC customer and I have bought so much over the years, I'm sure I put some of the hosts kids through college.

Anyway, I am buying less and less from QVC. If I can buy an item anywhere else, I do it because EVERYWHERE else has free shipping especially if I place an order for more than $50.00. I know QVC is doing a few days of $3-$5 per item but really what is that? One of the problems is they are just not smart about how they ship (i.e. multiple boxes for items in a single order). I think for some reason they think easy pay makes up for the high shipping but it does not. I'm completely done with buying beauty products from Q and I have recently become a beauty junkie so they are really missing out. I can buy all the same products and better products - Paula's Choice, Acure, WEN, at other sites and with promo codes I get discounts AND free shipping EVERYTIME because I hardly ever order under $50.00.

QVC please listen to your customers and institute a standard $50.00 min order for free shipping along with more free shipping days.
