Update: "@"+Nickname IS working, Triggering Notifications

When we type the "@" and a community member's nickname, a menu pops up and we can click on the user we want to mention.*

This will generate a "Notification" (and usually a pop-up) to let the person know someone mentioned their name.

Then, they can go to their "Notifications," click on the listed thread, and go directly to that particular post.

It's a great plan! But these notifications are being triggered only if one of the moderators uses the feature or in rare cases when a few posters use it.

So many of us are struggling to find a simpler way to navigate to threads we were posting on, and this would be a great help in that respect. Please, troubleshoot this issue and activate the feature for everyone.

I know there have been other threads/posts, so my apologies for any duplication but I'm not sure if the Q Social Team is aware this is still a "broken feature."

Thank you for your post. This intermittent problem is happening for all users (including the QVC team members). We have alerted our engineers to investigate the issue. We will be sure to let you know once this has been corrected.

@TX-starlight, The "@" notifications will help a lot, and I hope they're activated soon.

An issue I'm having with "@" while using iPad:

I can post the "@" plus a username, but it will disappear when I edit a post. I know the usernames were spelled correctly. I edited a post and saved it, but the places where I cited the usernames were deleted. I edited again to add the @ username and it took three tries to get it to save with the "@" usernames.

Using an iPad, I did not have the functionality or see any drop-down menu until iPads went "fully functional" (LOL, shades of Data). Now I get the menu and I have had a couple of notations and given one that was receivec.

One thing I've noticed on iPad...

It helps to type @ and wait for the drop down box. Then tap on the person's name I want to mention. That way I know I've spelled the username correctly.

The Q Team did say in their thread announcing the iPad updates, "Improved iPad functionality is now live!"

"...Thanks for your patience while we got this resolved. There are more updates coming that will address other navigational issues that have been reported (i.e. My Activity Page and the jumping screen)..."
