Please please stop saying "Straight Up" when describing jewelry, especially the higher end items. It's an outdated slang expression used by young folks which seems to cheapen the presentation. You do seem like a nice person. I'm from Philly and live in the Midwest so it's nice to hear the accent

That can also be a neat drink...

Neat is used to order a drink that is served with no ice or mixer. This is a straight pour of liquor into the glass and is served at room temperature.

I am confused why the original poster deemed the term "outdated"but yet claimed "young people" are using it. That is contradictory.

I think its a perfectly accurate description. It's concise. It's only 2 sylables, and everyone knows what she means. There are a lot of host phrases that are silly and annoying, but "straight up" is not one of them in my book.

I LOVE Antonella, slang and all. She's a down to earth lady, what you see is what you get. Each host has their own style and her style is just being a real person. Don't watch if it bothers you.
