She is a bundle of energy and talks constantly! &lt;IMG src="https://community.qvc.com/DesktopModules/ExactTarget/Controls/TextEditor/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/biggrin.gif" alt="{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}" /&gt; Over the years, she has earned over 1,000 Blue Ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair!&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Crispy Date Bars&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Dough:&lt;BR /&gt; 1 cup flour&lt;BR /&gt; 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar&lt;BR /&gt; 1/2 cup butter, softened&lt;BR /&gt; Filling:&lt;BR /&gt; 1 cup chopped dates&lt;BR /&gt; 1/2 cup sugar&lt;BR /&gt; 1/2 cup butter&lt;BR /&gt; 1 egg, well beaten&lt;BR /&gt; 2 cups crisp rice cereal (Rice Krispies)&lt;BR /&gt; 1 cup chopped nuts&lt;BR /&gt; 1 tsp. vanilla extract&lt;BR /&gt; Frosting:&lt;BR /&gt; 2 cups powdered sugar&lt;BR /&gt; 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract&lt;BR /&gt; 3 oz. cream cheese, softened&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;1.) Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine first 3 ingredients; mix until crumbly. Press into ungreased 11x7" or 9" square baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.&lt;BR /&gt; 2.) In a medium saucepan, combine dates, sugar, and butter. Cook over medium heat until mixture boils; stirring constantly, simmer 3 minutes. Blend about 1/4 cup hot mixture into beaten egg; return to saucepan. Cook until mixture bubbles, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in rice cereal, nuts and vanilla. Spread over baked crust; cool.&lt;BR /&gt; 3.) Combine frosting ingredients, beat at LOW speed until smooth.
