I sampled this unlikely-sounding concoction at our local Publix grocery and liked it so much, I bought all the ingredients listed in the recipe's shopping list to make it at home. Don't judge it until you've tried it.

Another woman and I were sampling it at the same time, and we agreed that it was fantastic and that onions & lemon juice really made the dish extraordinary.

Our local Publix has a real cook in the meat department who prepared the dish and was serving it while I was there. He said one addition he would make to the recipe would be some garlic. I thought it was fine without that.

http://www.publix.com/recipes-planning/aprons-recipes/barbecue-meatballs-over-mashed-potatoes

This recipe sounds pretty good to me @novamc1, but I've never tried frozen meatballs. Obviously I could make my own, but I'm wondering if there's a brand you could recommend (if you've ever used them). Thanks.

I haven't made a meatball in years! I buy a huge bag whenever I go to Costco and they are supurb! Don't waste your time in all the time and effort making meatballs, these really do taste great!

I know it would take more time, but I would make my own meatballs (2 kinds of ground meat, parm cheese, bread crumbs and an egg) AND mashed potatoes. Just sayin'!
