I have recently read how healthy lemons are. I would like some suggestions for recipes that incorporate real lemon juice, lemons rinds, etc. The only recipes I have lemon juice for are the usual ones like lemon pie, lemon pasta, etc . I'd really like to get the full effect of the real lemon's nutrients. How do you use lemons in your dishes? Thank you.

This is a real toughie but I make it all the time. First, very importantly, buy an electric lemon reamer (?), don't know the correct name but they're about 19 bucks on Amazon. Then, take a bag of lemons and run them thru. Get a glass, fill with ice and water or carbonated water and put some juice from the lemons in. Voila! Tasty way to consume enough water. Making a lot at one time can save time in the long run. Put most of the juice in a Lock and Lock and keep in the fridge.

Thank you, wishmoon! I'll have to check into that lemon reamer. Yes, it is a toughie. I've been racking my brain on how to incorporate lemons into my diet. Hubby said to just eat a lemon, lol! I"m not sure I'm up to that yet.

Before you get too carried away with an adoration of all things lemon, price them at your grocery store. People here have been reporting very high prices. I see they're running about 50¢ each at Walmart.

I begin each day w/ a full glass of water w/ lemon.

Then also add lemon in all the teas I drink throughout the day: 1 cup of matcha, and try to drink 3-4 cups of green, plus 1 cup of black.

Whenever I steam broccoli, I always dress it w/ lemon juice & zest.

Yes, I saw the price increase this week, but since I believe I am reaping the benefits of the lemon, I just put those lemons in my cart!

Thanks, Kachina624 for the heads up! In our area we have several vegetable and fruit stands that are very reasonable. Plus, we can grow lemons in our backyard down in this area. My neighbor has a beautiful lemon tree that he brings us lemons from occasionally.

Frozen lemons have huge benefits. You can freeze the whole lemon and every time you make a salad or any dish you like, you can grate thinly the frozen lemon( with the skin) over your food.

Also you can slice it and freeze it. Then you can use frozen slices in your drinks instead of ice.
