    <description>&lt;P&gt;These are so good, I made them back at Thanksgiving and several times since!&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Cranberry Apricot Scones&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;3 cups all-purpose flour&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;1/3 cup sugar&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;1 Tbsp bakind powder&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;1/2 tsp baking soda&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;1/4 tsp salt&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;6 Tbsp cold butter&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;1/3 cup &lt;STRONG&gt;EACH&lt;/STRONG&gt; dried cranberries and chopped, dried apricots&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;3/4 cup buttermilk&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;1 egg&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;1 egg white&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;2 tsp grated orange peel&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;additional sugar for sprinkling&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Heat oven to 400F.  Combine dry ingredients in bowl.  Cut in butter until mixture resembles crumbs.  Stir in fruits.  In seperate bowl, combine buttermilk, egg, egg white and orange peel.  Stir wet ingredients into dry just until incorporated.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Knead gently four times and seperate into two balls.  Flatten each out to 6-7" circle and cut into 8 wedges.  Seperate pieces and transfer to greased baking sheet; sprinkle with sugar.  Bake 12-15 minutes unitl golden brown.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;</description>
