Fry bacon until crisp&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;2. Add onions &amp;amp; sauté until soft&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;3. Add garlic, cook until fragrant&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;4. Add tomatoes, thyme, &amp;amp; bay leaf, cook until fragrant&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;5. Add lentils &amp;amp; salt &amp;amp; pepper cook until lentils have darkened (8-10&lt;BR /&gt; minutes)&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;6. Add wine, bring to a simmer&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;7. Add broth &amp;amp; water, bring to a boil, then simmer until lentils are tender&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;8. Puree 3 cups of soup &amp;amp; add back to the pot&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;9. Stir in vinegar &amp;amp; heat.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;10. Serve with parley garnish.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  &lt;/P&gt;</description>
